eBay. 630AUD landed (via TNT 2 days express). came from HK seller.
Well, I only upgrade my machine once every 5 years, so i future proof them to last. Along with my LaCie 4BIG, im pretty set with this beast.
Guys, I know its hard but the wait is worth it... these machines are amazing!
This theory is incorrect. Mine is W5773. Please don't tell me that mine will be build in week 73.

and my qc i7 is now listed "prepared for shipment".

No your aren't upsetting me at at all. I am just saying that the theor behind the 4th & 5th characters of order number making up build week is incorrect as there are not 73 weeks in the year.

wow awesome. here's hoping Apple's mid-January estimate was conservative and everyone gets their machines soon. I'm going away on the 23rd December, so I can just picture mine rocking up right about then... ah well. It would be fantastic if it was waiting for me when I get home in the new year!

The ordeal of getting a refund!
And then the long wait in Pudong International Airport with my second order placed with Apple Online.
(I feel like I've been on the amazing race!)

Wouldnt it be ironic if the reseller orders started turning up next week too, that would be insane... Imagine if someone canned 48mths interest free and went direct too...
Mine is still not yet shipped, but maybe when i wake up in the morning it might change... hopefully!

The guys that are prepared to ship - keep us in the loop as it changes! This will be a really busy week of freight coming out of china in hte next two weeks, cross our fingers for a smooth shipping!
Yes that would be ironic, after waiting since 25 OCT for my i7 from Myers Brisbane, last Thursday i cancelled my order to go direct online. They told me the Brisbane store had about 60 customers waiting for quad cores and that they had had 5 cancellation on that Thursday alone. Maybe i should have at tight?? I now have a shipment date of 24 DEC with Delivery 04 JAN
looks like they are doing another upgrade...

I've read every post of yours and I understand your scenario.
I wouldn't have been able to purchase my mac outright, if I hadn't sold my old mac pro. So I would have done the same thing as you.
We're about half way through Dec.....so, not long now until you get your i5.

Thanks guys, its been a long, hard wait but im sure it will be well worth it when it makes it down here in Radelaide. Now i have to go back and read your posts to work out how long it takes to get to me... it still says shipping method: road so yeah hopefully this week or next week? Before Xmas would be nice.
