Waiting for Quad Core 27" iMac - Australia

I just cant stay away, even when there is no reason why I should still be here.

So I was sitting around with the boys knocking back some cold ones and with the wives all doing their thing in another part of the house. After a few rounds it came around to my turn to vocalize a toast. Out of nowhere came
" To Donus's incredible patience and amazing ability to stick to what he believes in. I hope his system will arrive quickly and perfect in every way"

Of course nobody there had any clue what I was talking about, but we all drank to it anyways. :D

PS. ( *Good advice* ) have a cold shower before you open the box, I didn't................ what a mess:)

Ya I tried to explain the meaning of the toast but quickly gave up and just told everyone to drink up. I did however get enough out to let all present know how Apple has been treating its resellers lately.

no problem! you dont have to use the win7 disc, if you have NTFS write permissions on your bootcamp partition you can just delete it through OSX. i couldnt because i dont have permission, but NTFS-3G or a program like that will do it :D

Hope you are enjoying your machine, it looks like our reseller orders are coming along and should be here within a week, which will be awesome.

Karma works in strange ways, and nothing else is important in life than respect, and doing the right thing. Multinational companies sometimes blur those lines, but they are run by people, and when you can find the right person to ask the right question all of a sudden they become accountable and then things can happon :)
 
I was about to do the whole windows 7 thing, so I went to my local store to buy a copy. Micro$haft want like $300 for the basic home edition! What the f*ck are they smoking? All I wanted was a copy of windows, not a f*cking hand shandy from Steve Balmer.

Seriously, it is more than twice the price of MAC OS, and only half the OS. And why the f*ck is there like 3 versions? How friggin confusing. So i told them to kindly shove it where the sun don't shine and left. I will need to go get a second mortgage to buy a copy.

Get an OEM copy.. Much cheaper

Hi Guys, So I've returned my i7 27" with the yellow tinge. Apple has received it. Does anyone know what happens now? Is a new order for the replacement machine created for me or am I supposed to do something? I'll call Apple in the morning but thought I'd check with you guys in the meantime. :confused:
 
I am seriously not keen on getting a dodgy copy, thanks anyway. I will just have to shell out the 300 clams to get it. But fu*k I will whinge while doing it.

Anyone want free hosting anyway? I am pissed, and feel like giving sh*t away.

Apple make their money from hardware and applecare. The OS comes with the hardware, so they wouldnt be looking to profit from OS sales like Microsoft

btw, you can get a legal copy of 7 for $50 is you are a student
 
about $170 odd will have you a copy of oem windows 7 pro

http://mats-systems.com.au is doing windows 7 home premium for $158 i think.. im was looking at it for my tabletpc if i get sick of ubuntu (not likely). Win7, as much as it pains me to say it, was actually quite good when i tried it for 30 days. Pity it only comes on DVD (makes it painful for tabletpcs which come with an external pcmcia cdrom - no usb dvdrom wont boot it).
I dont know what the difference is between the versions, and quite frankly i dont really care. :)

I might just register another website today and take you up on that.. just need to think of a catchy one... build it up and then we can sell it to google and buy our own neighboring islands and helicopters that are driven by cool robots.

I have registered one that will hold my musings on purchasing an imac (wont that be riviting reading!!) and then stuff that i find out about imacs and other stuff that is probably rambling crap but will be cool all the same!

Ive registered a domain, just waiting for BrisbaneGuy29 to get his lazy ass out of bed and set it up and ill do the grand unveiling right here on this thread which has been my home for the last 2 months..
