Waiting for Quad Core 27" iMac - Australia

What I meant, are they working 24/7 to ship these, or just during normal working hours. Meaning, will I only see my status change to "prepared for shipment" during daylight in China, or they working around the clock?

Aaah "the Final Count down", I love that song....what can I say, I'm a tragic 80's fan.

This waiting is becoming beyond the joke...

I sold my MacPro 4 weeks ago.
Thank goodness my wife has a laptop(Dell).
But I think her "sure you can borrow my computer darling" kind gesture is wearing thin.....

Ahh yes, the power ballards :) The big haircuts, tight jeans, thank god they are over haha fun to turn back time and look at no i suppose.

I wonder if that fashion will be back in trend before we get our imacs?

Yep im trying to write reports on a dell mini 9 at the moment, not very much fun at all..

Latest info puts me at shipping middle of next week. The excuse it because I ordered 3 machines, they have to all ship together. What a crock-o-*****. Must be hard to get 3 ready at once apparently.

1 x iMac i7
1 x iMac i5
1 x MacBook 13.5"
1 x additional Magic Mouse
1 x Mini Display port - DVI adapter

Wow such a stressful order!:mad:

oh - and music peaked with Duran Duran, you can keep your power ballards!

NFI Dude. I reakon they have a picture of me with "不運送" (does not ship) written above it near where they all clock in of a morning and they all laugh and point their fingers.

Every day feels like a week. It pisses me off when you read in the other thread that people are ordering them like 2 days ago, and have their gear being sent.

Something is rotten in their ordering process..
 
I have ordered my iMac i5 via Next Byte, but from what I am reading it is more likely that a single unit will be shipped earlier than 30.

Question to anybody who ordered with Apple Store:

If I place an order, I can still cancel and do not get charged until shipping / dispatch date?

Approx. when will dispatch date be communicated before shipping?

Well I rang Apple again last night to find out what is happening with my order for an i5. I got little angry and then he tried to tell me it is first come first served. I said that is rubbish. He then said he would find out what is happening and call me back. He rang back an hour later and said he is waiting on a reply from the shipment team as to when I can expect my iMac to be shipped and would call me back today.

I have since checked my order this morning when I woke up and it is now "Prepared to ship" Finally!!!

For all those still waiting I would be calling Apple and demand an answer. It worked for me :)

If you place an order with Apple Australia Store, you have up to 10 days to cancel the order from what I remember about my order.

Not sure what NextByte's policy would be.

Grrrr. The flight from Hong Kong to Australia must be the longest flight in the world! Still stuck there. GRARGH.

And considering that the 14th was a Saturday, I'm *guessing* we'll see an update late this afternoon. If that's the case, we could be seeing a Thursday delivery! :D

Heya Alicia, Lucky you! I have called them quite a few times and for some unknown reason i am still on "Not Yet Shipped". They told me yesterday that it wont ship until the 25th November, no reason why though!

I might call them again and ask them to put mine on the same flight as yours or something, this is beyond a joke!

When did you order your I5 and what region of Aus is it going to (just to make sure im not jumping the gun)

But I wanna see all the exciting bits in between, like when it lands in Australia and clears customs (dirty perverts are probably putting their hands all over it now ;)).

Hmm...

Did you add the option for the nuclear-battery powered machine with built-in cutting laser? If so, simply use Back to my Mac to log in to your machine while in-transit and cut a hole in your iMac's box using the laser and use the iSight camera to spy out what's happening!

I have the same fear.. If they open mine and load Hi-Res semi naked pictures of Tania Zaetta my wife is going to think that i did it, and get me in trouble.

Well imagine my excitement to wake up this morning and find that my order status is now............wait for it....................."NOT YET SHIPPED". I might have to take up smoking or recreational drugs at this rate. Looks like mine will be with yours next week. This is the longest week in history.

serious!? the apple store says 7-10 business days. if yours is taking an eternity mine will take until 2010! i havent ordered yet, probably will later today.
