you just like her because her + google make a good combination ;) her face is awful!
Dude, you must bat for the other team. She is the shizang. I would crawl across broken glass..........

serious!? the apple store says 7-10 business days. if yours is taking an eternity mine will take until 2010! i havent ordered yet, probably will later today.
I wouldn't worry, people ordering them now, or even for the last week are getting them fine. It just seems us poor saps that got in early, and did the right thing and pre-ordered are being penalised. NFI why though! In fact I would wager with you, that if you order yours today, you will get yours before I do. Be an interesting experiment.

No one wants to see semi naked pictures of Tania Zaetta. Anne Hathaway, now your talking.;)

Well imagine my excitement to wake up this morning and find that my order status is now............wait for it....................."NOT YET SHIPPED". I might have to take up smoking or recreational drugs at this rate. Looks like mine will be with yours next week. This is the longest week in history.

Well here is a revalation for everyone...
I logged into 3 different apple stores to check my status.
Each was as nailbiting as the last, but im stoked to report that MY STATUS IS OFFICIALLY ....

Not Yet Shipped. Still...

yep, i had the same idea about taking up drugs, even though all the ads on tv tell me not too, and i generally only do things that the tv tells me to do, or not do, unless its anna korren on today tonight, i wouldnt do anything she suggests i do, unless i have drunk a carton of beer and it involves some pretty funky mood lighting..
Maybe there is a drug that makes eerything go fast forward until your iMac arrives.. Smoking might be an intersting pastime to take up too, i could take it up, get addicted and then go through the complete patches and quit program before my mac gets here.. you have to have a smoke free home for it to live in..

Aaargh!

Mine shipped.
So i checked the status every 3.5 minutes for the last 4 days... and then without warning - it arrived this morning.

while i was out.

OMFG, my rage knows no bounds!

I thought i would just put this here so that i dont have to keep refreshing the other window, now im twice as productive..

No tracking? Yikes, yep that would piss me off.. Did it go back to the depot?
I missed a delivery yesterday and had to goto the post office and pick it up.
Turns out it wasnt an imac in the end but some spam in a box.

Well I think the truth maybe that direct recent Apple sales are receiving priority as they want to ensure these sales go direct. My business is Apple Authorised Solutions Resellers and we haven't seen any of these yet either... keep getting delivery date pushed back.

They probably feel you guys that ordered from the Apple store ages ago are locked in but when non Apple owned resellers get stock that recent Apple store buyers may defect to purchase from them so they fulfill them first.

Sure it's speculation but logical since they have the power and want to maximise profits. Consider a good independent reseller... you will probably get a discount and ram upgrades will be lifetime warranty... assuming one day we see the stock...

Hehe, at this stage i'd take the spam-in-a-box just for the satisfaction of taking a delivery!

Still spewing about missing my delivery; if it happens again tomorrow - I'll go insane.

If that was me I would drive to the TNT base, or find out where the driver is and track that mofo down. Mug him on the side of the road and get that iMac!

I just realised, my iMac has actually been delivered, but it is just invisible. Those guys at Apple are very very clever.

That sucks pretty hard, its hard enough for resellers to keep their head above water in the first place with the low margins on mac hardware, let alone if apple wont send you stock to fill your customers orders so they get the craps and order direct.
One place i know of enforces a cancellation fee if you (the customer) cancel your order so yeah you would be locked in to wait.

I would have thought that apple would either prioritse the shipping on the date the order was placed (logical) including large orders for resellers if they are in the queue, or, well no thats the only logical option.

Money is money, if someone places an order online right now using a credit card and someone else placed an order 3 weeks ago using a credit card what logical reason is there for the later order to be shipped first? All the people who were keen, and committed to purchasing the imac did so in good faith that their item would be shipped in turn. These people are likely to be longer term customers and right now are sucking on sour grapes.

id like to hear Brissieguy fire up on this one...

Heya Alicia, Lucky you! I have called them quite a few times and for some unknown reason i am still on "Not Yet Shipped". They told me yesterday that it wont ship until the 25th November, no reason why though!

I might call them again and ask them to put mine on the same flight as yours or something, this is beyond a joke!

When did you order your I5 and what region of Aus is it going to (just to make sure im not jumping the gun)

I now have my shipping email confirmation and should have it tomorrow. I ordered on the 22/10 and it is coming to the Gold Coast. It is being sent from Sydney. Apple also told me the 25/11 when I rang last night but I said to them that isn't good enough.

You should keep on their backs and let them it isn't good enough.

All i know is to me, there seems to be ZERO system in place. It is like a f****ng lottery. I am a long time apple user, and have gear sitting here in my office going back 8 years, I love the OS and machines, but i can say I am not a huge fan of their order fulfillment procedures!

I do hope that there is no policy to keep us locked people waiting while trying to maximise sales, and hurt resellers. As pointed out, resellers have a hard enough time as it is.

Cool, thanks for letting us know, i might give them another call now. Did you get indian sounding operators? I cant understand what they are saying half the time (and i speak some hindi so who knows whats going on there..)

Wow, you have been waiting alot longer than me, so i hope it does arrive tommorow and everything works ok, there has been a few reports in other threads about dead pixels and DOA.

Imagine the profanity that would pollute the audible spectrum above Adelaide if mine was DOA... Nuns everywhere would be counting their rosary beads and getting ready for the apocolyse...

Good business oppertunity for you there Alicia, we could hire you to ring up and abuse apple so they speed up our orders, hahaha. Not sure if they will believe that your voice and my real name really match though..

Based on your comment, I am now thinking:
- Should I still go with Next Byte to buy my iMac?
- Should I place an order with Apple store and it will still be quicker

Confused...

Seems that ordering though the Apple Store now is the quickest. They seem to be filling any new orders very quickly. They just feel like giving Dronus and me a right shafting for ordering early.

It seems no amount of calling is getting me anywhere. They feel because I ordered 3 Macs, I should wait for being greedy. The excuse is:
As your order was processed as a "Ship Complete" order, we are
gathering all your items from our different factories to be placed at
a common hub where we could then ship out all the items at the same
time and under 1 tracking number. Hence, you could expect to receive a
shipment notification email from us probably by the middle of next week.

Gathering all my items is a crock. All the f****ing items are made in the same factory.

Believe it or not - I tried that, but they won't tell you where the driver is or where they're going. The worst part for me is that I was only around the corner, and I left a note on the door saying "deliveries, please call {mob no.}"

That, and my wife says it's not ok to punch delivery guys in the face anymore.
