I believe you have to send it back to Apple directlyAnyone know if I can go to an Apple Store and have them downgrade me from the beta on the spot/the same day, or does my AW need to get sent to a repair center for them to do that?

Wait till next week and change to public betaAnyone know if I can go to an Apple Store and have them downgrade me from the beta on the spot/the same day, or does my AW need to get sent to a repair center for them to do that?

I think it will need to go to Apple. I’d recommend troubleshooting first. It’s been solid for me but looks folks are having mixed results. Did you upgrade yours or just asking to be safe? Since you are on the fence, I’d also recommend you waiting to see if Beta 3 comes out next week and read some impressions.
Yes I’ve had those weird occurrences happen once or twice. Both were fixed by a restart.watchOS beta 2 was good with battery until today. Charged up to 71% 3 hours later I’m down to 35%. No workouts, no cellular data on watch and no music off watch. Nothing changed this past week. Hopefully beta 3 fixes this.
Thanks. Dropping today as well. Will reboot and see what happens. Hopefully beta 3 tomorrow.Yes I’ve had those weird occurrences happen once or twice. Both were fixed by a restart.
I would not trust my diving on a dive computer running Beta software. Bring a backup.I’m going diving in a month lol. I’ll let you know. Actually it’s making me wonder if I should test it before getting in the water.
when I wrote software, my Alpha and Beta code was also full or error traps and logs that would affect performance. When you start a new release with a lot of unfinished parts, you can't focus on performance and energy efficiency ...
When you develop, you always try to do your best to have optimized code, but the first priority is to have working code and all features available.
Hopefully Public Beta is available soonFew hours with Beta 3. Obviously still too early to judge the battery, but so far it seems a bit more fluid and polished. Hopefully this fixes those random battery drains without introducing any major issues.
Try rebooting watch this solved it for me.Battery is really, really bad on Beta 3. Took my Ultra off charge at 08:00 this morning and had to put it back at 16:55 as it only has 16% left. Not done any workouts or anything, live activities disabled. So 10% every hour.
I actually thought of that after I typed the message, fingers crossed as I'm worried it won't last the day when I'm in the office tomorrow.Try rebooting watch this solved it for me.

Update... after the reboot I only lost 10% overnight and seems much better now, thank god.I had terrible battery the first day of beta 2 then it got better. Like lost 20% in an hour bad. Then like 30-40% per day good.
I don't know why some people would have battery issues in B3.
