My AWU battery just took a random nosedive today. I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary in that timeframe other than a 10 minute yoga workout.

Other than this, I thought battery life has been fine.

Same with my ultra although I did a 30 min workout with cellular and music and then spent an hour in the pool. Did restart it before charging and is fine now

I threw mine on the charger for a few minutes before restarting, didn’t want the battery to die while booting up. Battery seems to be fine again here too.

Only issue I have is the charger not being consistent. I still get a solid 1-2 days of battery life on my ultra 2.

My battery has dropped 80% over the last 25 hours, and that’s including an hour or so of fitness tracking.

Thanks. At least from the email it doesn’t sound like there are specific known issues. I won’t be relying on my watch so it’s just for fun.

I do happen to have an older Ultra I around that isn’t updated. I wonder if it’s worth diving with that instead.
I use it as a dive computer through and through, when it doesn't glitch it's great. But it does have a tendency to malfunction in things that have nothing to do with the dive computer per se.
The most jarring one so far was when it failed to recognise that I had purchased the day pass and left me high and dry on the dive site.. I had to follow the dive master like a shadow on that one to not risk DCS. (rbart if you're reading this: it was on production versions of everything..)
I dream of the day they grant Dive Computer permissions to other apps so Oceanic+ finally have a motivation to do their job properly.

So yeah.. since you updated, do carry an extra dive computer around. Good luck!

Anyone else’s Apple Watch charge at every night even with optimized battery charging on?

I've got my developer beta selected for Watch OS 11, but the software update is not available to me. I've restarted my iPhone and watch, but no luck. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you!
Have you installed i0s18 beta on your iPhone? That has to be done before installing Watch os 11

That's insane! Most of my runs are 50+ minutes (without music though) so wouldn't make it through
I wouldn’t worry about it. I have an Ultra 2 and stream via cellular on my 1 hour runs. I’m on the watchOS 11 Beta 1 and I haven’t had any issues with battery life. No change from watchOS 10 for me.

Usually Public Beta 1 is the Dev beta 2? If so I’ll join in then

Taking forever to install beta 2 for me, been at it for 2 hours now.
It took like 45 minutes once. Did fail the first time it was verifying the download, causing my phone to respring.

On a positive note: My Watch just charged from 60% to full, using my belkin 3 in 1 fast charger, at normal speed! It wasn't charging correctly in this one during Beta 1

Hey guys,
Has anyone had issues with the iPhone - Watch connection after updating to iOS 18 Beta 2? My Apple Watch won't connect to iPhone and I can't get it to run the Beta 2 update. Anyone have an idea for a workaround?

Installed both iOS 18b2 and WatchOS 11b2 last night. Install went fine as usual. Album art was not displaying on the watch at the gym this morning streaming Apple Music directly from the watch over cellular. Could be worse things I guess.

Hope battery is doing better. I tried to hold off but just decided to hit the install button for B2. B1 was rough and I ended up getting my watch replaced for an unrelated Hardware reason anyway so I was chugging along on 10.5 until about 10 minutes ago.

For now Xcode 16 has not been updated to beta 2.
So I am not sure we are able to test our apps to a watch in beta 2 ...
There's no reason to hurry, as always, there are a lot of issues in SDK in early beta versions, it's a waste of time to try to fix apps in a so unstable environment.
