Updated my ultra2 to os11 and now when charging continuously pings and reconnects to charger. Any ideas to fix this , really annoying!

Came on here to see what others are saying, as i have a more extreme version of that, and now i think my watch might be rendered unusuable. i am trying to charge it direct from the wall on the official cable with it switched off to see if this might make it charge.

SE2022. never any issues with it.
Installed betas on everytihng, mac, iphone, ipad, watch. risky i know....

watch i think but cant say for certain, think it was okay for the first night, or maybe i didnt notice it not charging.
I have a 3rd party from amazon little stand that does phone/watch/airpods. had it for two years without problem.

couple of nights ago. charged fine but in morning, was stuck in a 'your charger is not official' type warning, when it wasnt charging, it was on my wrist. restarted watch and all fine.

two nights ago, kept pinging on and off like you said. didnt charge overnight. had warning about unofficial charger but went away when i pressed it. charged in work fine, on official cable plugged into laptop usb.

last night pinged on and off so i left it off charge. came into work with it about 5%. put it on the official cable. hour or so later, on 3%. took it off and on. showed charging. hour later still on 3%. guessing it pinged off straight away. Plugged into wall charger on its side, looked like charging but screen went off. 30 mins later still 3%. Now ive turned it off, with it plugged in, to see how that gets on. not looking good.

EDIT: phew. charged again.

Potentially stupid question... sorry, first time contemplating a watch beta. I have the iOS18 beta on a secondary device (14 Pro Max - no Sim), so can easily associate the Series 9 to that. My daily driver is AW Ultra 2 associated with my 15 Pro Max. Could this confuse the data within the Fitness App overall? I'd only wear the Series 9 while I'm at home.

Is the second photo clock in the upper right new? I'm on 10 still, Ultra 1 using the modular ultra face and I've got the standard digital time in the seconds ticking circle. I like the one in your photo much more.
Yes, depends on what watch face you have, it will remain the same and shrink when u go to the small stack page!

Does anyone know why this screen keeps popping up on my watch and how I can disable it?

Super silly question, but on Smart Stack, how does one change the watch face? I see some people have the simple time in numbers while mine is stuck on the old school watch face.

Has the original Chronograph face disappeared for anyone else? It's gone from my watch and the Face Gallery! (Not Chronograph Pro, the original one that's been there since the first release.)

So far I've had very minimal issues on ios18 and watch os11 beta. Not battery drain and just a few expected glitches. One slightly annoying one my heart rate recovery data is not showing on the watch and I've got a feeling its not recording in general.

I am typically using my polar HR band connected via bluetooth, for the most part. The HR data is being recorded during a workout, but not sure the recovery rate is being properly recorded.

Navigation and maps is super clunky.
Basically, you can download offline maps to your watch through maps now. But, there is no current integration with the workouts app that I have found yet. They work as two different independent silo'd apps. You can create your own routes and save them in a folder in maps called "Routes". Once you click on them, it goes into the typical Apple Maps navigation experience as if you were walking to a location, any time before. It's fine, but nothing new, and certainly not integrated.
Apple Maps team doesn't seem to be talking to Apple Workouts team.
There is lots of room for improvement at this point.

But, we do have offline maps. So that is a start! Some details are just plain wrong, like elevations of routes, but I am sure those things will be fixed in time.
But if you’re backpacking and away from cell service, the downloaded maps can be fantastic to have, on a phone and on the watch

my battery drain has suddenly showed up, was ok for the first few days, now it barely lasts a bit more than a day, no settings changed, all apps closed , restarted etc. Looks like there is something in there that does make the battery start draining really quickly.

Can anyone show us how the new training bezel works on the Modular Ultra face? I've seen a couple of pics but don't understand what the dots do?

of course. That doesn't mean it's not well implemented. But its just Beta 1 so who knows where it will go from here.

Hm, I'm surprised beta 1 was released like this. The battery issues are universal, and very crazy. I saw Shazam mentioned, so I removed that just now to see if that improves anything at all

My nightstand charger now CRAWLS in charging as well..

If things play out, beta 2 should land next Tuesday. That's the hope!
