Been playing the free weekend of The Division. Very addicting, I just might buy it if I could find a good price.

EDIT .. Just bought it for $20. :D
Did you buy the full version (dlc included) or just regular. I was tempted but kept reading you need the full gold version with dlc to actually get the good game as it's the one that was changed & balanced over time.

Interesting. I wonder how it fares in comparison to Tom Clancys Wildlands that I'm currently playing. I passed up on The Division when it first launched. Can you tell me what your initial thoughts are on it, what do you like/don't like. How isbthe campaign? I don't play online. Thanks for your feedback.

Too late for that. o_O

But if I'm not mistaken the full version/ with the DLCs is much more, right?

For $20 I figure I'll still get my money's worth before I level up. I'm only at 17 now and played in the dark zone a little bit and made level 6 on that.

The graphics are outstanding. The game is basically based for online play, but not in the tradition sense of competing against each other. It's like an open world campaign that's online. The missions are pretty good, but you MUST play with a team of online players to pass the missions the first time, otherwise you will not make it. Auto matching is pretty good and you don't always half to wait to a mission is started. Even the side missions can be difficult. It's a challenging game that reminds me of Far Cry 4.

The things I don't like is, close hand to hand combat sucks, and weapons/gear is a little overpriced(not real money).

I never played Tom Clancys Wildlands to compare.

Anybody pick up Prey ? Any better than the demo which I wasn't bowled over with tbh.

I actually liked the demo.

So, does this game have a regular campaign mode? Or is this always online or do you have to play online to further into the game. If it's primarily online based, I usually only play campaign off-line.

The demo allows you to play for 6 hours or until you level up to 8. I'm about 2 hours into my demo. So far the campaigns are solo, but where you go to your HQ, you see other online players walking around. You can interact with others there. I'm definitely not a good source of info for that game just yet though :D

I'm not sure what happens if you are offline. Like BenTrovato said, in HQ and the Safe houses, you will see online players there. But again like I stated earlier, you can roam and do side mission and etc alone, but to pass the main missions you will need to work with other online players cause it will be too difficult to pass on your own. Without others to revive you the enemies are too strong and numerous.

I wasn't sure if this was an online only
Game, where it requires a data connection. Thanks for your feedback.

Be careful about the Division! I played the so called Beta and was impressed by the graphics, loved wandering around in NYC and the shooting was decent.

Bought the game at launch...

...and got bored really fast. The campaign is super boring. You have the exact same looking boring hoodlum enemies over and over (except that you do have to wander around quite a bit to meet some, wandering gets boring too as you can interact next to nothing with the environment) and the missions are just ok-ish at best. Movement feels a bit on rails. But I'm not that big into over based shooters I might add - pretty much shooting gallery style here with hefty bullet sponges.

I never tried the multiplayer part because on PC you had cheater gallore and I didn't really like the execution of the otherwise nice/interesting concept - they did patch that a lot though. Mind you, for all I know, the complete Dark Zone / Multiplayer area is locked to multiplayer. That was another bummer.

I recently tried it out again but stopped after 20mins - still boring imho. Be warned. :D

Dishonored 2 demo was definitely a great idea! I haven't finished the 3rd mission yet, but by now I know I want to buy this game.

However, it might be awhile. With my 21 month old son and my newborn daughter to take care of, I don't see myself doing much gaming in the near future! :D

Congrats on the expanding family.

The Division definitely took some hard knocks from the reviews I have read and a lot of gamers are stating this game is only worth playing online for multiplayer, as everything else apparently is worthless.

I wanted to give this an opportunity, but I think I'm going to pass based on how this game is primarily targeted for online. Which I could care less about multiplayer.

Just m Completed Tom Clancys wildlands. One of the best tactical shooters I have played thus far on any GEN console. The game is completely open with massive environments, large amounts of Arsenal, completely customizable character/weapons, extensive campaign with plenty of side missions.

However, this game is completely repetitive and if you liked Far Cry 4, it's very similar. It doesn't get any better than this as far as what I was expecting in terms of having some authenticity.

Graphically, The game is very strong with minor glitches. I did observe some graphical stutters and aliasing. The Storyline was somewhat convoluted with these mini video clips they tried to put a story together showing you how the drug under bosses fit together in the story of one main villain.

I'm extremely critical of games and this deserves a 9/10. Well done UBisoft.

If you want more of the same and you are tempted to buy the DLC... don't. Like you, I really enjoyed the game, so thought I would like the DLC. Not so much... it is a completely different almost cartoonish story with monster trucks etc. I gave up after a couple days.

Picked up Prey yesterday and that is installing as I type.

Thanks for the information. Please share your experiences with Prey after you have time with it. I also was looking into this game.

Two weeks later, still working my way through the Dishonored 2 demo. Really shows how much time I have for gaming these days... :D

Welcome to 'real adult life' ..

Where an hour or two gaming a week would be considered a luxury and your back catalogue grows faster than the grass in the garden.

Haha, totally!

Went shopping with my son today:

Don't know where he gets it from... :p

Picked up a copy of Dishonored 2 on the way out! :D

Very slowly getting through The Witcher 2 so I can import the save into 3. I play Rust with friends usually.

I think Witcher 3 has to be one of the longest campaigns I have ever played. It definitely takes some dedication to explore and appreciate the vastness of it all.

Loved the game. It took me an age to play as I wanted to explore everything and do all the side quests. So much so that even though I have bought the subsequent expansions I haven't played them yet as I needed some time away from the game. I will do Blood & Wine one of these weeks / months.

(I would also say Dragon Age : Inquisition needs to be commended on being a fantastic RPG and one that should definitely be explored if you have not done so).

"Ghosted" my way through the first Dishonored 2 mission as Corvo. No detections, no kills! Will probably start a parallel campaign with Emily where I kill as many people as possible. :D

Finished Dark Souls 3 over the weekend. Gonna start up Bloodborne now before I go back to the DLC for Dark Souls.

Nice. I think I just have one boss left in the Ringed City before I'm finished and can start NG+. The Ringed City DLC is kinda nuts... I think for the most part the base game is kinda easy compared to it.
