I found this source. As I recall somewhere in beween TOS and TNG. :)

That episode is a good one. There are so many good ones. I place TNG writing at the top of the ST universe.

Definitely have a look at Yesterday's Enterprise. That helped to solidify Human/Klingon relations, just as the link above mentioned. The Khitomer Accords helped as well.

So now I am looking for evidence of warmer relations between the Federation and the Klingon Empire prior to 1988. I didn't see any of that in TOS and don't recall anything in season 1 or the first half of season 2 of TNG.

As far as finding something between 1998 and 1991, it will be hard, because keep in mind that TNG started roughly 75 years after TOS went off into the sunset. IIRC, Season 2 actually started in mid/late 1989, and Season 3 was roughly the same time in 1990. Yesterday's Enterprise was in TNG Season 3, so finding anything during or prior to 1988/1989 will be hard to nearly impossible.

BL.

Thanks. I'll check out the link later today or this weekend!

Blasphemy, at least if you are referring to the first two seasons! :p I'm enjoying the last season, not because it's great, but because I am invested in the characters. I like them, but mostly it's because I want to see resolution. Will Dex and Hanny get to live happily every after in Argentina? Even though I'd like that, I'm thinking no, a dark ending for a dark character.

This!

This season hasn't really been amazing, but by now I'm so invested into the characters that I'm obviously not stopping now! I have to see how it ends!

All USA shows are good to me right now,

After my wife expressed interest in Sleepy Hollow Sept 16 on Fox, I think we will give it a try, but I don't have high hopes for it especially if it is ment to be a series with legs.

I'm not usually interested in network shows, but this one looks good. I may see the first episode and decide if I want to DVR the series :)

I enjoyed the first episode of Sleepy Hollow and will ask the TiVO to tape it for my wife who will probably also enjoy it.

Time travel (of a sort) witchcraft and revelation, how can you go wrong.

I've enjoyed most everything Orci and Kurtzman have done, so I have hopes for it. Although two characters I would have loved to see recurring in the show are summarily killed off in the first episode.

When did you see this? My schedule says it premiers tonight on NBC.

It was shown on a transcontinental United flight.

Interesting.

Just watched the broadcasted premier. Thumbs up for Sleepy Hollow! Set up to record future episodes. :) My biggest disappointment is that I would have liked to have seen more of the Sheriff (Clancy Brown) who played bad prison guard, Capt Hadley in Shawshank Redemption.

Clancy Brown, you mean the guy who plays Mr. Krabs on Spongebob? :p

John Cho's character was the other one I wanted to see more of.

Washington Irving's SH and Rip Van Winkle stories are two of my favorites so it was a blast to see how this show nodded to both. I had a great time watdching the first episode and will continue to watch to decide if I want to buy a season pass on iTunes.

Yeah, I was lamenting Clancy's death too. Nice to see him in a good guy role (He's stuck in my brain as the Korgan in Highlander and the only good thing about Pathfinder...). Too bad there won't be a Van Winkle character proper though, but it's great fun. Exactly what I needed.

Given the theme of the show, I suspect (hope) we will get at least a few flashbacks with the Sheriff and of course more set in the 1700s before Ichabod was buried.

Sleepy Hollow was excellent. It also had some of that Omen feel to it but was made lighter with Ichabod's fascination with the 21st century and Starbucks. The headless horseman on the other hand wasted no time with the new time period and got armed to the teeth with the latest and greatest guns like any regular pyscho.

Anyone here saw the Hannibal series with Mad Mikkelsen?

ITV (in the UK - the independent TV network, i.e. non BBC) have just commenced broadcasting Season Four of 'Downton Abbey'.

I readily confess that this is a guilty - but not remotely furtive - addiction of mine, as it is a series I absolutely love. Indeed, I will cheerfully overlook any slight inaccuracies, or the sheer chutzpah of the splendidly high class soap opera nature of the series, features I normally disdain.

Unfortunately, for the third consecutive year, I am abroad in a part of the world where I cannot see it as and when it is broadcast, and must confine myself to reading reviews online, and ordering the DVD set when it is subsequently released.

that's about the only thing I dislike about my MBA...makes it inconvenient when travelling for longer.

Well, I actually have the Superdrive which travels with my MBA; so I could watch 'Downton Abbey' (or anything else; I'm the sort that still rips and burns CDs), but alas, it won't be available as a boxed set until Christmas - at least.

Anyone watch Marvels Agents of Shield? I thought it was OK.

Opinions on Brooklyn Nine Nine? Havent watched it yet.
