When exactly is the MacBook Pro shipping?

This is the funnist S@*t I have ever read. Everyone that got all paranoid and their panties in a ruffles......just got influenced into buying $300 worth of more product. The Apple site was just adjusted to correct lead times for the 2.16 of 3-4 WEEKS!!!!
The 1-2 days was an error.
Those who cancelled their order and reordered.

Well, I have just reserved a Sony Vaio FE11S Centrino Duo but I've cancelled that now! Should I wait for the UK store to update or just go ahead and order?

Hmmm, that's not what I've heard. I was hearing the 1.83's were being upgraded to 2.0. When I phoned Apple about mine they said all the Macbook's were automatically being upgraded, even if it doesn't show that online right now.
 
I just spoke with an Apple representative regarding my order placed on 2/7. The ship date has always been 2/28 delivered by 3/3 and the Apple rep says that is still the "estimated" ship date. She also confirmed my order had been upgraded to a 2.0 Duo. When I asked about the ship dates for new orders, she said that those are errors and the Macbooks are not going out that quickly yet. Eventually they will, but they are still in manufacturing according to her.
 
Ok i am backed to being ticked just checked my status and it's now been bumped back to Feb 23!!!??? I ordered Jan 10, 11:01 am. I ordered the 1.83 (now a 2.0) Anyone else seeing their dates change that ordered on 10th?

LOL! Yeah, I ordered at 11:05am on Jan 10th and have been expecting to be in the first shipment for over a month now... extremely doubtful I would risk getting put to the back like that...

These dates are estimated. I know everyone wants their new sexy Macbook's, but isn't it worth waiting a week to get the speed bump. And Apple has all along said "Ships in February", so as long as that happens no one really has cause to be too upset.

I know but what makes me mad is other people who ordered after me are still showing the 15th. Why? Mine is not a CTO. Doesn't make much sense.
 
Sorry, but it has already been established that changed shipping dates don't occur until the day of the original estimated shipping date, correct? If so, mine still says Feb 15 which is ahead of yours, but don't be surprised if come tomorrow, mine gets pushed to a date later than yours.

Depending on what you ordered originally, I would think. The PR said that the original preorders of the 1.67ghz will ship next week, and the original 1.83ghz orders are shipping out this week (both units being automatically upgraded of course).

Keep in mind that they say they will begin shipping the 2.0 (orig 1.83) orders this week. That doesn't mean that all of the February 15th orders will actually ship tomorrow, just that they will start going out. We're still very much in a "wait and see what happens" mode for at least another day.

Mine shows the exact same status.

Although, i ordered the 1.67ghz core duo. - on jan 10 at 11:11am.

I just checked my order status and yup i got bumped back from Feb 15th to Feb 23rd. Its quite sad. I had the lower end macbook pro. It was funny when i called them today and complained about getting hung up on they told me they upgraded my 1.6? to a 1.83 like it was a justification. Sigh...

Edit: I ordered right after the keynote on the 10th

Well, my money's been refunded. :(

But my ship date hasn't changed! :)

I phoned for the discounted price to beef my processor to 2.16 GHz. However, Edu sales had left for the day. :(

But I'm first on their list to phone tomorrow and if I decide to max it out, I'll retain my place in the queue. :)

Overall, I'd say: :D
 
So, my ship date just got bumped to February 28. My order still shows the 1.83 (what I originally ordered) but the dates moved back from February 15th. I'm pretty disappointed, hopefully it won't really take this long.

I originally ordered the 1.83 GHz standard configuration on January 11 at 9:39 AM.

Good Luck, I hope it doesn't push your ship date back further. So no more "It's illegal in this country!" :p

do you think that delay is only because you didn't order on Jan. 10?
