When exactly is the MacBook Pro shipping?

Btw: I consider 7 days delivery time already as a choke you only can get up with here in Europe.

Mine date has been (so far):

Feb 7th
Feb 10th
March 10th
Feb 28th
March 15th
Feb 28th (added 15 Feb 1:50PM)

(and the email Apple sent last night, the second one as the first was wrong, said Feb 28th)

As I wrote already a few posts above mine got bumped to the 15th of March as well. I am really interested in what they are going to tell you. I will actually wait until tomorrow morning until I call them, I mean it has not even been 24 hours since the press release. Some Apple reps also said there is gonna be a new batch of E-Mails going out soon with much more accurate shipping dates... (I read that in the Apple Discussion Boards somewhere)

UK Purchases should see something like this. My previous dates were the 17th shipping on the 22nd. A month increase, still, I don't mind seeing as it's a free upgrade. What other companies would do this? they'd just tell you tough luck and to wait!

The Midtown Manhattan store isn't opening until May.
 
There is a real mess at Apple...

Now my order status has been changed back to the 28th of February... :D
Just don't know how seriously I should take this now. It matches what some Apple reps said , that the 14th of March shipping dates were just automated and that the real estimates would arrive in the next 24 hours.

So I'll start thinking optimistically now. My Macbook Pro will ship on
or before the 28th of February... :cool: :D

Edit : Woohoo finally a member, took me quite some time... :D
 
Delivery Change

I ordered MBP now 2ghz, 7200 rpm 100 gig hard drive on 29th January. UK. Firstly stated 21st Feb shipping, then 25th, then 5th March (email says 5th march) now its 15th March...with delivery on the 27th :mad: . Lets up it comes sooner :confused: The UK site is just messed up, i want to upgrade to 2.18ghz but im not waiting another month by cancelling my current order..(when it does eventually show up in the UK online shop). Anybody who ordered from the UK got their delivery date sent forward??
 
well i phoned my shop today after hearing about the CPU spec changes.. just to confirm what i ordered etc...

shop told me the units have shipped, and I will have the unit in roughly THREE days.

oh.. I'm in Western Australia..

fingers crossed!

Explain to me how it could ship on the 15th when Apple is giving us until the 18th to make changes to our orders.

I ordered the 2.16 Macbook about 5 minutes after the store came back up on the 14th of Feb., my est ship date is the 17th Feb, I was debating calling because I didn't want to lose my place in line, I had ordered on the 15th of Jan, but I cancelled and ordered the 2.16. Hopefully it will ship on the 17th. Patience is needed here.

Shipdate is Feb. 23, Delivered by March 2nd. Ordered the 10th a few hours after announcement.

I highly doubt I would call it being suckered. I am in Canada, and yes Saturday is a delivery date. Thanks for making that point clear alep85.

Still standing at my current ship date. Is there anyone else here from Canada?

I am curious what their dates are showing.

my order is back down to 28th Feb after being bumped up to middle of march. Which is great.

It probably has something to do with what someone was saying about the SKUs and gradually updating peoples orders and the dates slipped around abit in the system.

Another long wait...:rolleyes:

ps. this further (positive) date change, makes sense as my email stated the 28th Feb, just before my account page changed to march.

I presume then that the earliest ship date is the 23rd Feb so far?

I think this makes more sense now. Those that ordered right after the keynote will probably get the 23rd Feb, while those after that will get the second week of shipping (i.e. the 28th Feb)

Same here. At this rate I'd be happy with a 28th ship date, even if I was expecting to have it yesterday!

I ordered within minutes of the store being back up and still have a 28th ship date.

Days later? You'll be getting Rev B at this rate :eek: :D

thats tough man, I would be really pi***d off about that.

i'll be away next week until the the 28th Feb. so even if it got shipped today I wouldn't get it until then. I'll just have to wait another week after I get back, not too shabby
 
Not sure if this played any effect on shipping dates, but on macworld.com
I noticed that an update saying that some fixes have been made in regards
to iChat & Safari. I`ve read somewhere else who tested the iMac and he
said that some problems occured while running these two.

Here is the update:

“Apple on Tuesday released an update to Mac OS X Tiger, bringing the current version to 10.4.5. According to Apple the update fixes several applications and technologies including iChat video conferencing and Safari rendering of web pages.” - By Jim Dalrymple

The update was made yesterday afternoon at 4:07 pm so maybe this could
be a possible reason why the ship dates have been pushed back.

What do you all think?

Just curious and thought I should past it on......

I ordered right after the keynote and now have a ship date of the 28th. It looks like the 1.67now1.83 orders in the UK can have ship dates of the 23rd but I don't think the 2.0 ones will ship before the 28th.

Does anyone in the UK who has a 2.0 have a ship date before the 28th?
