I'm contemplating whether I want the 64GB or 256GB model. I'd like to do some light video editing on it if there's some capable software so I might need more than 64, but not really sure as I'll mostly use it for browsing and ereading. Not taking any pictures with it or such.

Anyhow, looking forward to the October event, but I'd fall off my chair out of happiness if we get to see it already this week.

I’d be thrilled if we basically get an iPad Air 4 mini.
No mini led or oled and ProMotion, it’s a no buy for me. ?

Gotten use to having them on my M1 iPad.

Knowing apple we won’t be getting any of them features on the mini ?‍♂️

This is quite obvious because the Mini has always mirrored the features of the Air, ever since 2013. Watch for the Air to get these technologies and the following Mini to have them as well.

Sounds like an obvious “non iPad mini “ for you then.

It’ll be announced at either Tuesday’s event or the October event.
Riiiight. Just like it was supposed to be announced about 5-6 other dates going back almost 2 years now. Every, single analyst has predicted a new redesigned iPad mini coming In March or Oct the last two years, an they have all been dead wrong. They are clueless. Its vaporware. Apple hates the Mini, we wont be seeing one anytime soon, if ever.

this comment won't age very well... post dates don't matter, what matters is credible sources, and all of them are converging to a redesigned mini coming very soon
"Credible sources" have claimed a new redesigned iPad mini 6 was coming every, single March and Oct the past TWO YEARS. Some even pointing to April or September events. Where is it? Talk about posts not aging well....

The writing has been on the wall for a 2H 21 release for a while now, with the *most* credible sources indicating a launch this fall. Give me 45 days to prove you wrong. Set a reminder! :)

Has been even longer for the redesign. I mentioned in another thread I gave my iPad mini 4 to my mom in anticipation of a iPad mini 5 redesign. Then it ended up being later than expected and the same design with just updated internals.

More like it's never seen a redesign. It's been more or less the same form factor since the original.

I may be alone on this, but I honestly wouldn’t mind if they kept the same design forever. It’s elegant, minimalistic, and functional, so I think it ages well. I do welcome the flat edges though. But that’s more from a functional standpoint, to charge the pencil.

I think all good design ages well. That’s why when I find a design I really like, I pretty much never tire of it. Even my car I bought new 15 years ago still looks great in my opinion lol. But I know I’m not normal. Most people like to change things up. I have that every so often with clothes or rearranging furniture, maybe once every 10 years haha.

All that said, it is kind of crazy for Apple to have never updated the design of a 9 year old product. It really tells us how little they value the mini, which is disappointing to us who value it a lot.

Ipad Mini y'all and they started with it! Wow, I'm just so happy, need to relax. Wow!
Totally. Rumors stated October and the 13 Mini, I own the 12 Mini, won't be a big upgrade according to rumors. To me it would have been quite boring. That made my day really. Haven't been so happy after an Apple presentation for along time, besides 12 Mini announcement.

Strange how a technical device can make someone happy hahaaaaa.

Should I return my iPad Air 4 and get the new mini? Ugh, the thought has crossed my mind but I prefer the larger screen size.
