I can’t believe they wanted you to send them pictures of the destroyed case! What kind of company doesn’t believe their customers?!

it's funny that you mention this. it didn't bother me at all until you mentioned it. but i guess it may be just some standard policy because someone abused their trust before? to be fair, if they hadn't asked me to destroy it, i might just leave it on my shelf for occasional use so that would mean i got to keep a free scratched case.

the alternative would be me sending the case which would involve time and shipping costs, so i am glad to have accepted this method. (they promptly refunded me for the full cost of the case and shipping immediately, so i'm satisfied)

Torture pics of Synthesis. Pretty easy app p cut through with titanium scissors.

This was what I did to my 3 Mous cases last night after my drop mishap.

I am not that old school... but I have had..

4S, 5, 5S, 6, 6-Plus, 6S, 7, 8, 8-Plus, X, and XS and this is my first damaged phone.... well I may have convinced myself the 6-plus was bent... but that may have been in my head.

The dark wood had a satisfying snap.

The bamboo took the bend and needed extra back and forth,

The leather folded over without a sound.

it's really shocking what happened to you. don't know if it was just bad luck or we have all been lucky with our own drops/falls in different cases.

what kind of screen protector did you have? was it a 2.5D/3D full protector or a "case friendly" one. not sure that would have made a difference. again, so sorry for what you experienced.

It was the Icarez 3D

man, now i'm even more surprised. i would have thought that without a lip on the Mous, the screen protector and side of the case would have protected at the very least the stainless steel band. major bummer.

On my phone too
you bought another one? or had you never returned it in the first place?

can you show a picture to show how bad fingerprints get?

on the other hand, Ricktat's experience makes me wonder now about any case or case/screen protector combo without any lip. (i'm worried about my 0.2mm lip on my Sheath/icarez combo which would be similar on a Symmetry or Synthesis and other cases i've tried)

I’m in LOVE with the Pitaka MagCase Pro!!!

What do you like/not like about the Pitaka MagCase Pro? Just curious.

Edit: My coworker came back from China and got me a knock off Apple silicon case. Feels pretty nice in the hand.. Its not as grippy as I was expecting, but definitely a lint magnet. But to be fair, I'm not sure what the real Apple silicon case feels like.

I'll probably use this knock off case for a few hours and then switch back to my other cases. But fun to play around with a different case. ;)

Out of the 10 cases, I have, to me the grip is right up there with the Sheath. Rests comfortably on my pinky when using one handed (no sharpness) and is much thinner then I anticipated. Plus, when I travel I can bring along the Mag Mount for rental cars. I loved the SolidSuit, Crashguard, Pursuit and the Sheath, but the MagCase Pro checks all the boxes for me.

How is the lip on the magcase pro?

For sure and it will peel up most tempered glass screen protectors straight away.
I am currently using the case. My screen protector works just fine, no peeling it off. In terms of laying on the table design, the four corners and the top are raised to not interfere with swiping in the other areas

So face first means broken screen?

MobileReviewsEh mentioned he’s not sure if the Pitaka MagCase Pro will hold up in case of face first drop. Then he showed how easy the case popped off the corner.. It did seem like he got an older version of the MagCase Pro. He then showed the Mous Limitless and how stiff and hard it is to pop the phone out of the case.

I’m not sure though if the newer version of the MagCase Pro will have the corners easy to pop off as well.. Based on a few newer YouTube videos looks like it’s still easy to pop off..
