good review.i wouldnt mind for thin case as long as it has grip like this one.My take on the Caudabe Sheath.
Super fit. Very thin. I know some folks in the thread have dropped it and their phones survived, but I can see where one might question the drop rating. Having said that, this is pretty much the perfect case. Cutouts are spot-on. Buttons are responsive. It’s not flimsy, grip is great and the slight roughed up finish feels great. My wife said the case looks “classy”.
There’s a small lip. It’s smaller than the Apple leather case for sure, but honestly I wouldn’t want much more lip to interferes with gestures. The camera lens is protected nicely. I really couldn’t be happier with this case. The hype about it is true. This thread was a wealth of information that helped me choose the Sheath. Thanks!
Let me just add—Jessica at Caudabe is awesome. She answered my questions and made sure the case sent to me had the correct speaker/mic cutouts. Wonderful service.

Thanks. I’m really impressed with the Sheath. Don’t see the need to use the Apple leather any longer. May look around for one more, as a backup or keep the leather as my backup.good review.i wouldnt mind for thin case as long as it has grip like this one.

Have you checked out the cases made by Pad & Quill? If not, I think they might have some cases you would be interested in. I think they have a lot of sales going on, too.I like the contrast between modern and natural materials, so almost all of my cases have tended to have wood or leather.
Yeah, I've seen P&Q's stuff, but my tastes run a little less rustic.
If I decide to spring for a spendy leather case, it will probably be a Vaja, which hits most of my notes.
Lucrin also looks interesting, but their simple case has too much of a "glue a piece of leather on a cheap plastic shell" aesthetic, and the others are too expensive or not my style.
Killspencer has a case similar to Apple's, and I'm familiar with their stuff, but since it's not made in their shop, I'm not sure how the quality would be...and it has an exposed bottom. If it didn't, I'd be tempted to try it.
One leather case that surprised me is Best Buy's house-brand Platinum, which uses SB Foot leather. I'd even give it the edge over the Horween hides that Nomad uses in that it's softer and has better hand feel.
I ordered 8 cases, total delivered $13.18 = $1.65 per case...Thanks fer the Link!
For the Naysayers-->If they are junk, I'll survive being out $13.18!
yeah i think some are good aesthetically.if you really need good protection then its no brainer to buy the branded ones some cases are actually very expensive and yet it doesnt look good and it doesnt provide protection.personally i like minimal case because its light and easy in the hand.i found this case that i really like but slippery so i bought the finger strap loop that matches it and some grip tape for the sides so now im happy with it.i bought the case on ebay and it ship from the US.I survived...Well, Sort Of...I can't recommend any of the Chinese Cheapos. A few of them are OK for maybe a change of pace when ya get bored of yer current case or ya just wanna be seen rocking something different with yer nerdy circle of friends! I only received 7 of the 8, maybe, #8 will show up someday!

Do you have a link? I looked and couldn’t find it.
Still no Dbrand Grip 2 leaks? I’m getting nervous.
An FYI on the best buy leather case, for whatever reason they are pretty common on eBay for low prices.
I couldn't resist and bought another apple leather from a forum member here. It's forest green and it looks really good on the black phone.
I managed to sell all my other unused cases so now I'm down to a saddle brown apple, forest green apple, a sheath and a solid suit.
Anybody buy one of the new thanotec k11 bumpers?
Not directly for you..but since you mentioned Mirascase..
For any interested in the Miracase, in the past few days, the price for most colors dropped down to $12.99 on Amazon. I picked up a black one for my XR since some mentioned the red Miracase doesn't exactly match the red XR.
I pre-ordered it a while back. Was about to cancel but they just told me they're shipping next week. So we'll see!
Wow I thought it came out already and I just missed it.

I was a little disappointed in the build up and release. This whole before the end of the year and then boom, pre-sale and we’lol ship months down the road.
I’m clueless about the business side of the phone case industry.
Is a pre-sale used to determine a rough quantity of how many units to produce? Or is it basically the manufacturer taking a loan from it’s customers to help fund production of the cases? Or something else?

Dang, you're right. A lot of open box/NOS Platinum cases for cheap on eBay.
Tempting, but I'm trying to stop buying cases I don't end up using, even if they're dirt cheap.
Still have a couple unused 6+ cases that need a good home.
I think you hit on it.
It is really hard to make a good case. A lot more difficult than cutting 3M stickers and creating an attitude. They have done a great job of both but still haven't created even a passable case. Their first one sucked.I was a little disappointed in the build up and release. This whole before the end of the year and then boom, pre-sale and we’lol ship months down the road.
I came here to ask the same question haha. I was a fan of these style cases but they are so slippery. I see these are textured to be "grippy," can anyone comment to this?Anyone got the Caudabe Veil XT? If so is it any good?
