Anyone know what the loopy cases are like? I am considering one for a MAX

I can't find any real reviews and I never trust testimonials on the company website.

Just picked up the Cape Cod Blue case from Apple.

If I could I would go naked but I too would rather not pay for cracked glass repair as the silver matches my watch, however I have yet to find a clear case that doesn’t turn yellow or have a frosted effect on the sides.

I bought a spigen one and the sides are black. Just the back is clear. Wanted to get something for now until I can find something else I like.

I ordered a Otterbox Symmetry for the iPhone X before the announcement of the XS for my fiances phone as it was $15 on Amazon. Otterbox has since updated the product on their website to show compatibility with both, although they do have a new part number that they are calling the symmetry slim version.

For my iPhone XS Max order for my phone I ordered an Otterbox Synmetry from Otterbox. It is set to arrive today, but I received a refund on my credit card, so it is making me curious whether I should be concerned about the case I am receiving. It shows out of stock for the black on their website, so even if I wanted to order another I couldn't. I guess I will have to wait until Friday to see if it fits the phone properly or if I will be running to a Best Buy or AT&T store and getting a case I don't really want.

I have had good luck with these Otterbox Symmetry cases on our iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, so I don't want to mess with success. I did manage to break my screen while using the Magpul Field Case. because the phone skid and hit a curb and the impact popped the corner of the case off and the glass hit the curb. I feel like if I had been using the Otterbox it would not have happened because the case wraps around the corners much more snugly.

I recieved my Otterbox Symmetry and am actually dissappointed in it. The new "slim" design they are claiming is accomplished by them removing the rubber that previous lined the back interior of the case from the design. So now, the back interior is entirely plastic, with rubber only around the frame of the phone. The buttons are also hard plastic that is inserted into the rubber, which feel like they may rattle or not be as precise and feel mushy instead of clicky. I think that the design change may make this less of a durable case since the back glass is not protected only by plastic. Once I get the phone I will have a better idea of how the case feels in actual use, but the first impression is not good, and I feel that this is no longer the best "slim" protective case for my $1250 device.

Just in case I end up not liking this case, I pre-ordered the Rhino Shield Solid Suit, which I have seen and heard good things about. It looks like this case still has rubber throughout on the inside, and despite users claiming it is slippery, I feel like it may offer better protection. Being able to change button colors is just an added bonus.

darn. Too many choices.
Thinking clear with bump protection but like BOTH UAG Plyo https://urbanarmorgear.com/products/plyo-series-iphone-xs-max-case
And Element Case Rally https://www.elementcase.com/rally-iphone-case.html.
Thoughts on either?

Or stick with the Apple Leather that held up well for my iPhone X even with accidental drops.

I'd love to hear an answer to this as well? I have been considering both of them myself. Too many choices! I guess that's why I ended up with over a dozen 7+ cases in the past 2 years.

I have a loopy case and will never buy any other kind again. I use it on my 8+ and it just makes it so much easier to hold. And makes carrying when your hands are full so much easier as well lol

I didn’t like the SolidSuit for X... The edges peel after taking it off a few times. I have seen more people stating this. Furthermore, my two SolidSuits both loosened up after a while. The fit got worse after a few weeks.

However, the new one you pre-ordered could be better!

Ended up ordering a Slickwraps naked skin for my Xs. Does anyone have any experience using a case like the Loopy with a skin on the phone? I'm really going to miss having my iRing or Solover grip to hold my phone going forward.

Are they bulky and do they offer good protection?

Does the loop get fluffy or stuck to things?

I received this one today and for me, it would be my perfect super thin black TPU case except for that the speaker holes are not precise. The holes are the same on both sides but not the same on the actual phone. I reached out in my review to see if they were going to remake the case correctly. If so, my search will be finished.

The case itself isn’t super bulky, more like a normal harder case. The loop does stick out a bit and it’s only stiff until you wear it in a bit. It acts as sort of a “kickstand”

Has anyone bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GFT17MK Caseology case? I have been using it on my 8 Plus but this one does not seem to have a Black back. If anyone has bought it please comment on color on back. Thank you.

Ahh is it a hard plastic case or is it a soft rubber one?

When you say edges peel, do you mean that the hard plastic separates from the rubber? Or the back insert/sticker separates from the case?

I really don't see many cases that I like the look of for this phone. I also considered the Speck Presisdio, but I have had poor experiences with the rubber wearing out on those style cases from Speck.

Just ordered a clear and transparent blue case from ebay for my max. Have a hard time paying $20+ for a brand name or Apple case when I can get a wide variety from ebay for <$5

Good prices on Caseology if you have Prime. Just bought Legion series for my XS Max and Strata charger for $30.

Time to return my totallee case which I bought for $25.

I mean the lip around the screen that meets the glass. This part has the most friction when taking the case off (or putting it back on again).

There is a matt coating on this lip (like on the rest of the case besides the back). This coating will peel quickly. At least, it did on my two SolidSuits and the ones from a few other people here on the forum...

Case question for you wise gurus. I'm interested in getting the leather case for my new XS Max. However when I first got the 6+ I got a black leather case for it. I immediately had a lot of problems with my phone that I think were due to overheating as as soon as I removed the case I stopped having problems.

Is this a known issue? Is it something to worry about? Or did I just have a uniquely bad experience? I want the leather case because I like the look and feel of it, but I don't want problems with my phone. Previously I lived in Southern California, but I now live in the Phoenix area so the phone will be seeing sun quite a bit, though thankfully with the AC on most of the time.

The leather case is a great option. No worries. It definitely wasn't the cause of your issue.
