It would be different if I could just walk into a store I would surely swap it out. I may give it one more attempt but not really in the mood to be playing the case lottery game mailing back and forth knowing this is a known issue.
I think @AE14 received a replacement from them and he wasn’t required to send the other one back. It may not have been him, but I’m sure I read that in the thread. Might be worth asking for the replacement and see how it goes.

I suppose. It’s quite textured and offers increased grip. Gotta day, although expensive $40, it’s much better than I thought it would be. Similar size to the sheath, appropriate cutout, and excellent grip

pictures please!

It really helps me, and others i think, when I see everyone list their current favorites (because I know favorites might change frequently). So if others can join me and list their top favorites I'd appreciate it.

For my XS Max
1. Evutec AER Karbon- thin and has a nice grip on the side
2. Apple Silicone- love the grip and feel
3. Nomad Rugged leather- modified with a "Loopy" on the back

I expect my list to change shortly. I am waiting for a "corrected" Sheath and a Vaja Grip ( thanks again WNYX) to arrive.

Thanks in advance

My current top 3:
1. Miracase Liquid Silicone
2. Caudabe Sheath
3. Ringke Fusion

I do have a few other cases..but I just either feel indifferent or have conflicted feeling about.

Miracase is protective enough and is grippy (double edge sword though for the pockets), and I love the feel. Personally, this is most likely my final case. I think as a testament, I haven't visited this subforum in over a week or two since I haven't had the urge to replace the case...but also didn't want to get tempted by anything else.. :p

Most likely they won’t even have you return the defective case. Bummed for you.

I reached out to support via email. We will see I guess.
I ordered the Max cases from Totallee and Tozo and then ended up returning the Max and got a new X. So I contacted both of those companies and asked if I could exchange for X cases. They both told me to pass along the Max cases to someone who could use them and sent me the X cases for free. I consider both Companies to have great customer service. It costs way more to return the cases than it costs to produce them.

Just got the Otterbox Figura from Apple. Very similar to the Sheath. Very nice case, good fit and grip and solid protection.

I just received mine today, but unfortunately I'm going to have to return it. Very nice case, slim profile, good grip, but I had two issues with it: One, it lifted up my screen protector and it's the first such case I've owned with the XS Max (and I have several) that have done this. Second is a pop socket won't stick to the back of it, because of the textured case. I wasn't sure if that was just a pattern or an actual texture on the case, and it is the latter, so this one's not for me. Too bad because I really like it.

Hey, I checked the tracking and it says the case it out for delivery. I'm looking forward to your thoughts/review of the case.

Vaja Grip in Floater Crown Blue- It's a very nice feeling premium leather case with very little drop protection. I don't know if Vaja has strict inspection of the cases because only the top right corner has a tiny lip otherwise there is no lip for face down protection and the upper left hand corner seems very loose. I'm not sure why the bottom back of the case bulges down near the logo. It has light to med grip on the sides. I expect the sides to get a little "grippier" as I use it and wear in the leather. It is slightly thicker than my Evutec and an Apple leather. But still very slim as far as cases go.

I have been using it daily for the last few days and I really like it, but I am afraid of the protection. I am looking for my daily to be slim, but would feel better with a little protection if it drops. I know this case is not meant for drops, but it would be nice if it was slightly tighter fit with some lip. I really like being able to see the phone and feel the original buttons because of the way the cutouts done. The leather feels so nice. Much nicer than using a case that is just some form of plastic/rubber.

I am glad I got it and I thank you. I am going to continue to use it as my daily for now and pray I don't drop it. Worse case scenario it becomes my inside, weekend or special occasion case. IT just feels to good and I am hoping it feels better as I use it.

I recieved my corrected Shealth with the proper cutouts and haven't really used that yet, but initial reaction is I don't love it. At least not yet. Reminds me of my old Silk grip case I head for my 7+ and I did love that case. I think I have enough slim cases ( Evutec, apple silicon, Shealth and now the Vaja), although the Pitka looks nice to try, but to similar to the Evutec and Vaja if they were combined together. My case addiction tells me I need at least one protective case. I can't decide to try the Mous or the RhinoShield in the near future. If anyone has any advice or if you are looking to get rid of one of those, let me know :)

Received my Sheath today. :) :(

Super happy with the style, fit and grip.

Not as thrilled that the side buttons are very stiff and not tactile at all.

Really unhappy that the case they sent me is defective. The bottom part by the lightning port is a matte finish. My case has one spot that is shiny and has flow lines in the rubber (used to work at a rubber manufacturing plant). Looks like they tried to buff out the defect but instead it stands out like a sore thumb. While it’s only a cosmetic defect, I expect a good quality case as I paid full price. I sent them an email - we’ll see how good their customer service is.

Wow. Sorry to hear you received a defective case. :( The stiff buttons surprise me. Buttons here are very responsive. I’m sure they’ll take care of you, Let us know how it goes.

I heard back from my Cust Support email inquiry from Jessica who went ahead and processed a replacement to be sent out. Its unfortunate you ran into issues as well. Do you have any issues with the camera bump? I figure I will see what I get in terms of my replacement then if still not satisfied will initiate a return.

I’m in NH and the case sat in the mailbox so it was cold to begin with. The buttons seems to work much easier now but not much of a tactile feel. But that’s okay for me.

The camera bump doesn’t seem to cause any rocking for me. FYI - I got the classic black and my phone is the X.

I have an XS Max. I wonder if the buttons are different between the cases? You would think not.

Are your buttons sharp if you run your finger along them?

I have the XR Caudabe Sheath and my buttons aren’t sharp. My case feels pretty solid and the sides don’t pull that easily..

My Sheath buttons are pretty responsive as well. It does feel like the camera bump area may stick out a little since my phone rocks ever so slightly when placed on the table. I also have a rubbed smudge around the logo area when I received the case..but I guess it’s so slight and I’m not picky so I didn’t care. Otherwise my feels solid.

So I used the Sheath for half of the day and I found myself removing it and going back to my Totallee soft clear case. Less protection that the Sheath but also feels like I’m not really using a case.

Cool. If you can, post some pics. :)
