Which case will you be getting for your new XS/XS Max? [MERGED]

I've been using the leather case from Totallee since yesterday afternoon. When I ordered it, they only had black, but I see now that they have brown and tan. I'm not sure what I think of it. One review mentioned the leather felt rubbery, which I agree with. I think the Apple leather feels better, but when I asked family, friends, and coworkers to compare, they all unanimously agreed that the leather on the Totallee case felt much, much better and more premium (the leather on the Totallee definitely smells better, though). One knock on the case is that it's so thin, the buttons are flush to the case, so they're kind of hard to find without glancing at my phone. I might go back to the Pitaka MagCase, which is still my favorite case. However, I like that the Totallee case protects all sides of the phone. I wish the Apple leather case was thinner. I too have been using this since mid day yesterday It’s a tough review. It’s exactly what I expected but somehow underwhelming. It feels unrefined. The leather is more grippy than the all plastic version. It is VERY thin, which I love. It is scratch protection and soft drop protection. My example has a couple irritating plastic edges where the leather is inlayed. Should be around $15-20 and not $30-40.
 
Finally able to order my Xr. My phone is a corporate one so I’m still rocking a 6s. Killing me. Anyway been participating in this thread without even knowing if I would be upgrading to a decent phone. Was afraid I’d have to go with an 8. Anywho, time to get serious with cases. I did like my sisters XSmax solidsuit, just not the pink color.

I completely agree with your assessment of it being underwhelming and the price. I don't know why I'm not impressed with the case. In a way, it is what I wanted, but I don't know why I'm not in love with it. I might check out a Vaja case. I'm hesitant to do so since they're so expensive, and I feel like I've already spent too much money on cases. When I got my phone, I should have just bought a Pitaka case and then immediately to a Vaja case. I know I don't have a lot of cases compared to most of the members here, but I feel like I already have too many for me.

When I had the leather Totalee on my X there was not lip for the camera. Have they changed it this year?

There is, but it's barely noticeable. There is a plastic ring around the cutout, if that helps. I'm running my finger across it, and there is just the slightest "dip" from the edge of the case to the camera. It's like the camera is two pieces of paper high and the edge of the cutout is three pieces of paper high. I wish I could give a more scientific answer.

Nope, the interior is rock hard. I have no scratches on my space black but the hard interior is worry some to me.

Can’t believe Apple hasn’t released any cases for XR. The phone they expect to sell tons of at that price point.

That was the case I used the most for my X. But if you drop it the outside layer can crack and chip so I didn’t want to get it again for my Max.

Looking for a clear case that has grip. The caudabe one that is clear lucid is very slippery. Looks good though
 
I’ve got sad news my fellow case lovers. Who was it that said these solid suit cases start to peel after a while? I think it’s starting to happen to me. If you zoom in you can see where it’s starting to separate (as well as the added grip they put on the sides). I can only imagine that it will get worse. This is super disappointing for me. Now I get that I probably take the case on and off more than the average person but still. This sucks. Not sure if I’m returning yet. We shall see.

I got in my Ditztronic today. The soft touch coating is nice but a little too smooth for me. So.... back that goes. I think I’m gonna preorder the K11 bumper and just stick with the Sheath for the time being.

Too smooth as in its slippery? How are the buttons and bulk? Mine comes in tomorrow.

Keep coming back to Pitaka MagCase Pro. Great Protecrion with great grip but how do i stop the fingerprints?

Or UAG blacked out monarch? Ahhhhhhhh
