I hope that is not how it is.Introducing the Apple iPad Mouse for iOS 13 on iPad Pro 3rd Gen. prices start at $299 for basic white or $499 for space grey. Charges via inbuilt USB C plug from iPad Pro only.

We will see in a week.Apple won’t introduce mouse support, that’s what’s gonna happen.
Mouse support would affect apple pencil sales. Keep dreaming
It’s gonna be some type of accessibility feature. Like an Air Mouse which uses hand gestures recognized by the Face ID system.I just can't imagine mouse support being added as an accessibility feature. To me, the biggest reason they would add it is to better support external displays which was a big reason they went to USB-C. If it's an accessibility feature then there's no way to have the iPad to use a true second display. I think *if* it's coming, it will be a full on feature.

Or just a poorly implemented version of the Apple mouse as seen below after all good luck copying and selecting text or Right Clicking look below. All of this has to work. Don’t expect to use a Logitech or Razer mouse on Day 1. It will be exclusive Apple Mouse support. Videos explain it all.
Only to a degree. I'd rather use a stylus over a mouse for art or writing any day.Mouse support would affect apple pencil sales. Keep dreaming

The iOS interface isn't really set up for mouse use, but if people really want that more power to them.Very loose overlap between a mouse and pencil and I'd pick up a mouse to complement the pencil, as I suspect a lot of people would.

If you’re at a desk, why not use a laptop or desktop with a full-fledged desktop OS?I would only ever use a mouse when the iPad was docked on a keyboard and I was sitting at a desk as that would stop me from having to reach up and touch the screen which is an ergonomic nightmare. It clearly makes no sense when holding it in your hands or on your lap and working as it currently does makes perfect sense.

I guess there are many reasons, for one a lot of people might now want to own a traditional personal computer like a laptop anymore. There is a bunch of people on this forum alone who use nothing but iOS devices.
iOS isn't designed around using a mouse, though - it's laid out for touch. If they don't want a traditional computer, why do they need a traditional input method? So much of what a mouse would be useful for is unquestionably easier with macOS, Windows, or Linux - iOS is fantastic, don't get me wrong (I have an iPad Pro and I love it) but there's no sense in trying to make it be all things for all people.I guess there are many reasons, for one a lot of people might now want to own a traditional personal computer like a laptop anymore. (Psst... you replied to the wrong post.)I didn’t realize people would draw with a mouse.
