If the PRO models have a larger main camera sensor than the non-PRO models then I will be going with the 6.1" PRO. If the main camera module is the same then I may just go with the 5.4". Based on latest rumors it looks like I will be getting the 6.1" PRO.

I think this may finally be the year to upgrade from my 6s. Can't wait for WWDC to see if I am going to be getting iOS 14!

I don't think that's been rumored. Just that the pro will have a telephoto lens while the 12 will not (same as this year).

Currently have an 8+ bought at launch. I really want to go for the smallest phone but also do a bit of photography with my phone, so depending on what the camera modules consist of, I might go for the 12 Pro. Don't really care about 5G or LIDAR, and the non-Pro 12 is rumored to also have an OLED screen, so it's going to be a hard choice.

Knowing myself, I'll probably end up with the 12 Pro.

The 6.1" Pro for sure. An iPhone with the XR/11 screen size (perfect size IMO) with OLED and Pro features. Take my money!!

The 5.4 is what I will get. The screen will be larger than my iPhone 8 I currently have yet it will be similar in size. This would be my first OLED phone. I’m not fussed about the camera, 5g, or pro motion even.

Just curious, for those wanting the 6.1 or 6.7 iPhones, do you have a Apple Watch that you use separately from your phone? I know Apple Watch can’t do all the same things as a phone bit for me I would say I don’t need a bigger phone as I have an Apple Watch that I can take calls from and send messages etc. for reference I have the 11Pro & AW5

I have an Apple Watch S5 and will get a 6.1 iPhone. I use my watch for fitness, timers, reminder and looking at incoming notifications. It doesn’t take much away from the iPhone IMO, it’s just a handy addition.

When you say you ‘separately‘, are you referring to LTE or just using the Apple Watch solely as a notification device?

As @The-Real-Deal82 Mentioned, I use it as a supplement to my iPhone, LTE is really not something that I feel I ‘need’, and Nor is the carrier pricing incentives even close to being competitive enough for me to want to pay $15 extra dollars a month.

If i do it will be the regular 6.1". I never get the flagship iPhone. I just can't justify myself spending over $1000 CAD on a phone. Now iPads that's a different story since it'll be kept for longer and the Pro version is the only way to get a 12.9" screen.

For me, it's about use. I'm willing to spend a lot on iPads because that's my primary computing platform for non-work related stuff. I actually buy iPads fairly frequently and have US$100/mo budgeted for annual iPad upgrades.

The iPhone, meanwhile, is not a device I enjoy using much. I have one because I need Continuity for the iPad and it's useful as a point-and-click camera that's always on my person. Otherwise, compact size and value are the primary considerations.

Yes exactly. I'm on my computer/iPad for sometimes 12 hours a day so i can justify buying a premium device.

Either iPhone 12(5.4) or iPhone 12 Pro (6.1), going by the iPhone 11 series example, I am assuming the iPhone 12 will be as powerful & feature-packed as the higher version.

Still, I will want to see the camera setup and other differentiating factors that the Pro will have. If it would be worth the extra bugs, I might switch up.

I think the cheapest new model is almost always the best seller, isn't it? (maybe the 6+ outsold the 6 or something?)
It would be nice to know this breakdown on every iPhone releases, but only Apple know that, and they are not sharing that info, even not to shareholders.

I would predict the 12 Max will be the popular one. It is cheaper than the Pros, and larger than the 5.4." The regular 12 will follow as second most popular.

They’ll all sell pretty well, we can be sure of that.

I'm still not convinced the 12 Max will be the best seller out of the 4. Granted, the poll may be just measuring the excitement factor and not necessarily translate to sales. People do still want big screens at a lower price. I just don't know if the XR and 11 owners will see the 12 Max as a big enough upgrade. If some of them are switching, it will either be switching to a new smaller size or go Pro with the 6.1 screen they already like. We shall see. I know I'm going with the smaller 12 to replace my 11.

It’s not just XR and 11 users who need to be factored in though. There’s plenty in the market like myself who have older large devices and this will be the first upgrade in 2-3 years. There’s also the market of users who will be tempted to try a larger device for the first time too. The iPhone 11 wasn’t a huge upgrade from the XR last year but enjoyed very healthy popularity.

Personally I prefer a smaller device for the portability but in use I have to have a larger screen so the iPhone 12 Max for me fits the bill. I wouldn’t even entertain a Pro when the mid tier has been as good as it has been historically.
