The iPhone 11 is effectively an iPhone 11 Pro minus the third camera, stainless chassis, OLED screen etc. What on it is ‘gimped’?? Could you elaborate?

Although he's probably exaggerating about the iPhone 11 being "gimped" the 12 vs 12 Pro gap might actually be worth noting with the ram difference performance wise. We'll see when the benchmarks come out. The 12 might not be as big a bang for your buck than the 11 is.

I’m going for the 5.4” model. I’m using the iPhone SE (2nd Gen) until it comes out. If you think about it the 5.4” model should be very close in size to this device.

Without knowing exact pricing of various storage’s it is difficult to choose between Max & Pro. Most probably want Pro Max if price is not a concern! This voting may not represent anything

You’re torn between the biggest and the smallest?! don’t you have preference?!

I’m torn between the two as well. They have equal pros and cons.

5.4” = biggest screen that’s comfortable to use one handed.

6.1” = too big for comfortable one-handed use, not big enough to really warrant the trade off.

6.7” = two handed use primarily, but with a huge screen that warrants the trade off in comfort.

So it really becomes do I want the master in comfort or the master in size as the ones in the middle seem to be a compromise in both.

If the Pros have the squared off edges like the iPad Pro, I might have to go Pro Max. If 120hz ProMotion is in the mix, well, I mean it just seems like the 12 Pro Max would be the ultimate Apple device.
They split the product lines like this so we can agonize over the decision for months and years. They expertly make it difficult to decide.

Right? As if I'm not already indecisive enough when it comes to my Apple tech.

The standard has been set though and it would be disappointing if the gap is increased to a silly amount just to justify a price gap. The mid tier is where the biggest market is after all.

The 5.4-inch model. Purely for the smaller size, not the price.

I really do hope Apple realizes that most people buying the 5.4 inch model are buying it due to the smaller form factor, not the price. Just because we want a smaller phone doesn't mean we don't want the higher end features of the "Pro" models.

Really eyeing either the 5.4” or the mammoth 6.7”

Already did the 6.1” for a year and a half, not sure I wanna again, with XR. It’s a fine middle ground size but I like form factor novelty when I upgrade... Turns out I like extremities too, I have a 12.9 IPad and a mini5

minus A string of Plus phones, and when there was only one size iPhone.

Digging my SE2 in the interim

Hopefully the 5.4” isnt super gimped feature wise. But the price is right, $649 for a 128

Will decide between the Pro and Pro Max models depending mainly on size, but also features based on the last rumors. I hope Apple doesn't make a difference of features in those two devices other than the size. I thought that was the reason behind the non-Pro and Pro models.

Yea I think they finished with the differences other than size with the 8 vs 8+. The 11PM is already getting large for my pocket, so unless they shrink the bezel/notch enough to keep 6.7" in a similar body size, I may go down to the regular Pro.

Pro Max. Dimension-wise I expect it to be near identical to my 8 Plus. I love typing with two thumbs. It's hard to go back to a smaller screen once you become accustomed to it.

Same. 6.7" is pushing it. I would have purchased the Xr when it came out because of the 6.1 size, but then it was compromised from the XS Max in features, so I didn't go for it. Same with the 11 vs the 11 Pro Max. I finally get the opportunity to go with the 6.1" size this time around. Just need to understand the details first.

Had the 6s Plus and now an 8 Plus. If I needed to upgrade, then it would be the iPhone 12, 5/4" model.
Don't need a phablet as it won't fit in any of my pants' pockets and it's also the least expensive.
Just out of interest have you compared the size and footprint of your current 8 Plus and the Apple phablets you're referring to? The XS Max or 11 Pro Max perhaps?

In a way it has. The minimum standard is 4GB for the mainline iPhones. The 6GB will be exclusive to the Pro's (as per rumors). I don't doubt the regular 12's (especially the smallest, lowest price) will still be the best seller.

the largest one available is the one for me. iPhone 12 Pro Max!

That’s if I decide to upgrade. My 7 Plus still gets the job done.

5.4" small phones all day. It's just a bonus that it'll prob be the cheapest too! If it also has an aluminum back instead of glass, I'll be the happiest person alive. Now that we can fast charge, wireless charging doesn't mean anything to me so removing the glass back would be amazing.

I wish the 5.4 had the three camera setup (probably not, based on rumors). I also want the smallest phone possible, but I'm surprised not more people consider the tradeoff of an inferior camera system.

I'm over $1000+ phones but want the biggest size possible. I am an iPad Pro 12.9 user and the biggest phone fills the gap of a smaller iPad pro/iPad mini for light reading and decent screen for gaming. So the 12 max is appealing to me.

Yeah I’m not particularly bothered about RAM as my current iPhone has 3GB and that’s plenty to deal with what I put it through. The Pro’s can have as much RAM as they want to put in them, it still doesn’t make them appealing to me personally.
