The Mini looks amazing. I’m 90 % sure this is the one I’ll go for.

The only thing holding me back, is the new dimensions of the regular 12. It’s nearly, nearly the same size as my iPhone X and even weighs less. It’s more than 30g lighter than the 11...

So it’s 12 Mini vs 12 for me, in black or blue.

Dumb random question: say I buy a Mini outright and activate it with AT&T (for a sweet $30 savings 🙄), can I then turn around and get it unlocked right away for other providers, or is there some kind of probationary period involved? (Asking for a friend.)

I kept going back and forth between the 12 and mini so I made a quick mock-up. For reference I wear a women’s XS small glove. Happy to say the mini is perfect for one handed typing!

Im gonna hold off buying any new Apple products (including apps) for a while. One big reason not to move away from Apple is the investment in apps. But Apple is already doing its best to make it so hard for developers to keep up, already a bunch of my favorite apps are not supported, no longer available or dont work anymore. Less and less reason to stay with Apple.

it pains me to say i waited and waited for this, but for me it was a generation too late. i picked up an iPhone 11 Pro last year after having an OG SE for years. i love the form factor of the new mini and cant wait to see one in person, but now at this point there's no reason to get rid of my 11 Pro

Will be buying a 128 GB black Mini. Upgrading from a well-worn launch day 7 with the back camera cracked. So excited, it seems like the perfect size. Going to be cool to experience my first “full screen” iPhone.

Just bought a 20W PD charging brick and a 20W PD portable charger, excited for fast charging as well.

Convenient to keep in a pocket. Miserable to look at with eyeballs older than 13 years old.
I was so eager to buy the 12 Mini. But you remind me that I'm not 13 anymore. Maybe I should buy the regular iPhone 12 :-( Just sucks that the regular 11 was $699 while the regular 12 is $799

Whatever happened to those folks on here who for months were stating with great conviction that Apple would NEVER make a smallish phone again? There is no market for it and blah blah blah. Bunch of dolts who thought they were business and marketing know it alls.:)

Not me, I’m buying iPhone 12 Pro, but my girlfriend which has very small hands and she likes small phones she wants it! Now she has an iPhone 8.

I'm waiting to see what it's like in the hand, but I'm almost definitely set on the 12 mini 256GB in blue. Also need to factor in AppleCare+, a case (likely a third party sleeve), a USB-C UK power adapter, potentially a MagSafe charger as well. Quite an expensive upgrade overall but I am currently on a 7 Plus.

Odd question - would using my MacBook Pro charger be a problem with the bundled USB-C to lightning cable? I'm assuming the phone would just throttle the power it takes from the charger due to its higher wattage?
