Who will be keeping their iPhone 12 series this year?

I’ve finally grown tired of upgrading every year for things that I really don’t need. My iPhone 12 is doing just fine for my needs and so I’m going to keep my money in my pocket for perhaps a 14 inch MacBook Pro or a razor 14 inch. You get to a point in life that your needs or wants change and the hype for whatever is coming out does not interest me anymore. 😴
I know I’ve eyeing them razer. But go on the Reddit forums and there’s tons of battery bloating post per day.

I’m sitting out. I know for me going to a mini 13 from the 12 will not change anything. Heck it’s going to feel the same and look the same as the 12 mini. I haven’t even taken many night time pics which was one reason I upgraded, I was all excited about the camera. I’m looking into gaming laptops more lol. I might upgrade my 2017 11 iPad Pro to mini-display 11 Peo I need a bigger memory.

I just realized I haven’t used night mode yet on my phone. I do need to upgrade my almost 4 year old iPad Pro.

Thank you for your concern! Unfortunately not, I work outside with multiple shifting locations every day, and the phone is a part of my work day.
Looking foward to reinvest in a bigger model with bigger battery, but oh sweat Mini form factor, I'll miss you.
And power banks kind of invalidate the beauty of having a small sized smartphone.

Maybe people have different challenges than you have anticipated? Is it that complicated? I choose a phone that didn't suite my use, not so complicated. I got seduced by something small and fit, and now I regret 😅
Hehe, I see… Do you drive from location to location?
Anyway, we all have different needs of course. I hope you’ll find the one that suits you the best. Personally, I’ve yet to worry about my Mini’s battery, but I can always find an outlet to quickly (fast)-charge it. I have two 20W chargers, so whenever I think that the battery might not last, I just bring one of the chargers with me.

I do agree about those power banks, though. They’re annoying to lug around, and the charging is slow AF. I only take mine with me if I’m going hiking/camping in the middle of nowhere. But usually I always have access to an outlet. Some people claim that fast-charging will damage the battery, but my battery is still at 100% and I use fast charging only (sometimes twice a day).

I know, I do keep going on and on about fast charging lol, but it really is that convenient! When I put my Watch S4 and my Mini on their respective chargers at the same time, the Mini will be done charging much faster than the watch, even though the watch has a battery that’s about 10 times smaller. I can’t believe I didn’t use fast charging earlier… 😅

Got the same Watch myself, and even got the 20W USB-C charger. Experiencing the same, it charges quickly if you have the opportunity to charge. Usually using MagSafe, since it feels and looks cool, but doesn't charge as fast as the PD-lightning cable. MagSafe meh 🤷🏼‍♂️

Even worse, we walk! So no charging in the car between locations either! 😩

I used it in the beginning but it’s been pretty much a neglected feature. So my one reason to upgrade my camera from xs to 12 max then 12 mini isn’t even used. Only the comfortable size both in one handed use to just overall lightness was the worthy upgrade coming from xs max to 12 mini.
My iPad Pro with 64gb is getting too small so that’s one thing I have to justify. And gaming laptop, I’m gaming on my 16in MacBook using windows boot camp.

I bought a MagSafe battery pack charger from
Anker thinking it’ll be awesome and yah it’s slow. Better to just fast charge using a pod battery back. You have to carry the MagSafe battery pack on the iPhone for hours and using it awkward with one hand. Where as a pod chager can top your iPhone up in 15-20 min for my mini.

I'll be keeping my 11 Pro Max. :)
ya dude. the only thing I feel like we're missing out on is 5G but really, it's not widely adapted here in the states yet for me to really need it at all. Probably will be the sole reason I upgrade once it becomes more widespread and adapted though.

The modem would also be more efficient by then!

If the new iPhone has a smart battery case I will purchase, if not I may have to look into other options :-(.

Upgraded from an 8+ to the 12 mini and I absolutely love it. I don't upgrade yearly (used to be every other year, and last time 3 years felt fine), but with rumors that the 13 mini will be the last Mini phone I'm seriously contemplating upgrading just for longetivity. Battery improvements would also be appreciated :)

at this point I am thinking of sticking to 12 PM for one more year. My wife will be keeping her for sure.

Well I am because I'm on Apple's iPhone subscription program and they screwed everyone over last year and made us pay for extra months, so this year we wont get them on time at all.

To be honest, I don’t buy iPhones for features. I buy based on what they look like and I want the latest and greatest. I definitely needed to upgrade from my XS Max for the Qualcomm modem, and it has been like night and day with my 12 Pro Max.

I am thinking of keeping my xr for another year, the A12 Bionic is getting all the new features bar anything that’s hardware locked. I will need to see what’s on offer. I did intend to get the 13 this year so will wait and see for the final decision.

Since I upgraded from 11 Pro Max to 12 Pro Max, I’m very likely waiting until “iPhone 14” or later to upgrade. I still love this phone SO much and I haven’t gotten bored with it yet like I usually do. And I really love the gold color, it’s my first gold iPhone. I’m the same way when it comes to rose gold, I admired that color of iPhone forever and it’s like the one color I’ve always REALLY wanted for an iPhone. 😍
