Just ordered the base 13” in sky blue. I’ve wanted a 12” MacBook replacement for a while but finally given up waiting - hoping it complements my 16” MBP nicely for times when I don’t need all that power/weight :)

Be careful - it might leave your 16 in the dust if you don't have regulated regimen of using that brick for work. I used MPB14 only to drive work and 3 screens with tons of accessories, so since that is gone now it just sits as I am typing this on Air.

You don't miss the screen on your MBP14 though?

Love to have an 13" M4 Air but Costco has the 13" M3 Air on sale for $999. For that you get, 16gb RAM and 512GB hard drive. And a 90 day return policy. So hard to pass that up!

I’m taking a pass. Purchased the M3 Air last year and I’m still dazzled by it. I figure I’m good for a few years yet.
Yes, Center Stage and 2 external display support aren’t really worth the hit you would take if you sold your M3. That’s why Apple is targeting the remaining owners of Intel and M1 Airs.

With my military discount and trade in, I can get the new M4 16gb 512gb for $30 more. And get 3% on my Apple Card. Not worth getting the M3 unless it’s significantly cheaper.

It is good but i guess variable refresh rate fake 120hz is smth that doesn’t hold me. MBP screen shines if you watch a lot of movies especially dark themed ones, but since I don’t do movies/shows this is wasted for me.

The only thing i miss is the 17.3 matte ips screen with real 144hz on my previous windows laptop. That thing made scrolling boring excel and word lots of fun.

Has anybody received a shipping confirmation? Mine is still at preparing for shipment. Given that issuppoesef to be here at the east coast on Wednesday I would have expected it to be on route by now.

Same with mine, though it did show up on my UPS now. No delivery date listed on there yet though. Coming from Vietnam it seems.

Apple delivery date says March 12-13.

As much as I was tempted to upgrade my 15" M2, I couldn't justify the upgrade. Sky Blue and M4 were tempting...but not tempting enough.

Mine too! I hope UPS doesn't hold mine until thw 18th, they like to do that by me. They will keep it at the distribution building until the delivery date.

Apple says mine arrives march 18th, but ups already has it and it’s in Vietnam. Does anyone know which plane they’ll be on?

Mine are in the UPS system as "shipment ready for UPS". One comes from Vietnam, the other from Indiana. One is an iPad M3 and the other is the MBA but I wouldn't know which tracking number refers to the MBA.

Apple website still says preparing for shipment with the iPad at 12th, the MBA at 12th-13th. I hope they give delivery times soon so that I can plan to be there as I guess I have to sign for delivery.

As much as I'd like to upgrade my M1 Air (picked up June 2021) and 15" M2 Air (Picked up last September for CHEAP), both laptops are perfect for my use case and are still fast at what I need them to do, which isn't much.

You almost got me this time, Apple.

I went with an 15" air (CTO) for the first time, as a supplement to my primary work machine and since the M4's are similiar to M1 Max series which is my primary. Didn't order on day one, so my order was set to delivery 20th march. Funny enough I got an text message from UPS that a package is expected from Apple on the 13th, and tracking shows it's been shipped and on it's way — Apple's website still says, preparing for shipment with 20th as delivery 😂 fingers crossed it arrives a week early, and first time I've gotten an delivery tracking before Apple officially says it's been shipped.
