On father's day, I had a red rice beer that was actually really good at a China's restaurant.

Sounds intriguing; can't say that I have ever sampled such a beverage.
It was actually really drinkable and rather tasty! So much so that two were ordered by myself and the wife liked it also! Different, but good.
But how does it compare to the Belgian classics and German stalwarts that you posted earlier?

Yes, they sure do!I assume that these beers pair well with Asian (especially Chinese or Japanese) food?

Quite the tasty lineup. I trust they were heartily enjoyed. My third, and final, beer of the night is the "White Wine Saison" from the Buxton Brewery.

Good lord, what decadence!Believe me, they were. Savoured, indeed.
I have just relished three consecutive nights where I slept for nine solid hours.

"Victory At Sea", a robust (and exceedingly tasty) imperial stout from the Ballast Point Brewing Company.
If you are ever in the area and are able to get this one on Cask, treat yourself and do it. It is outstanding! I have had it several times at their brewery and it is that good!
While not a beer, but made by a brewery, if you have the chance, and you like coffee, check out Modern Times brewery line of coffee. I had the bourbon aged coffee this morning and holy smokes. While there is no alcohol, it packs a punch of bourbon and coffee. I mean a big punch! I thought I was going to feel the bourbon just from the smell alone!
It is from a brewery so I thought it might work in this forum.
Hm, sounds interesting. I may try one next time I see it.While not a beer, but made by a brewery, if you have the chance, and you like coffee, check out Modern Times brewery line of coffee. The classic Irish coffee comes with whiskey (or whisky) served in coffee (preferably real coffee, not instant nonsense) with cream and sugar (the latter seems to help the cream stay separate from the coffee). And there is a supposedly French version, where cognac is substituted for whisky.
But, yes, that does sound rather interesting. And quite tasty.
