Today the tracking stopped after 25km or so (of a 32km ride). I had lots of battery on both phone and AW. Any idea what could have happened?

Sorry about that. Can you see the workout in the iPhone app? If so then please send the wkt file for it to info@workoutdoors.net. To do that tap the Export button 3 times quickly.

I think you sent the wrong email. Guess it’s info, not into?
It is yes. Sorry about that. I corrected it and DMed you immediately afterwards but maybe that didn't get to you.

Hi!

When I use WOD and Apple Music on my Apple Watch I have som trouble with the sound. Before everything was perfect, but the last few runs there has been something wrong.

I always had my setting on "duck". I start the music with the right sound level, and when the first voice alert from WOD I spoken, the sound level goes down as it should. The problem is that it don't go back to normal. It stays on that low level for the rest of th workout. If I try to turn the volume up, then the voice alert gets really high.

I tried to put the settings on "Mix". Sometimes the music sound level behaved like it should do on duck (lover sound level on music when the voice alert is on), and sometimes the music was at the same level during the voice alert.

Any tips to what I can do? I really liked the way it was before when the music level was low during the voice alert.

And one more thing. Did you do something with the count down on intervals? Before it counted down from 20 second, 10 second and 5 second. I really miss that!

I haven't heard of that with the new version. The old version always used the "Pause" option with no choice of "Duck" or "Mix", so you may want to try that to go back to how things were with that version.

Time based intervals should still count down as before. Are your intervals still time based or do you use some other way to define the length?

I recommend rebooting both the watch and the iPhone, as that often helps with strange errors.

I didn't tried "Pause". I thought that would pause the music totally during the voice alert, but maybe I misunderstand. I want the music to play at a low level during the alert, and then go back to normal level. If that was the main setting before, I will try that! Thx :)

I use time based interval. I didn't updated either my phone og AW when the countdown disappeared. It just went away. Then I will try do restart both of the and hope that will work!

The Pause option only actually pauses spoken audio such as a podcast or an audiobook. With music it ducks, so the music goes quieter whilst the alert is spoken.

Hopefully a restart will help. It is odd that you have two audio based issues, so it could be that watchOS has got confused.

Also please check that you have the latest version of the watch app (v4.3.6) in case only the iPhone app was updated. To check this go to the watch app settings and tap More and then scroll to the bottom of the screen where the version number should be displayed. If you still have the old version then you can install the new one by using the App Store app on the watch.

I wasn't exactly sure how to see this info as I could not find the "More" anywhere. I looked on my watch and on the watch app on my phone.

If you go to the main menu on the WorkOutDoors watch app and then scroll down to the bottom then there should be buttons for Settings, Map Only Mode and Workout History. If they are present then you have the latest version (v4.3.6). If they are not visible then please update the watch app using the App Store app on the watch.

To check the exact version (for people reading this in the future), tap Settings and then More, and then scroll to the bottom where the version number is shown.

Hi. Still using this app after 3 years. Also still use it for tracking my sailing adventures! Support for Shortcuts would be awesome!

I recommend it every chance I can to people who ask about my watch. Thanks again for your continued work on this fantastic app!

Shortcuts are on my list of features to add but currently not very high on the list because they are rarely requested. Sorry about that.

Many thanks for spreading the word about that app. Glad that you are still enjoying it after so long!

I'm getting back into running intervals, obviously using Workoutdoors. I tried 6 x 1.6km intervals last evening and have a few questions!

I see I can choose what to use for Current Pace from Pedometer, GPS or Apple Health. Is there one that will give the truest results when running outside?

I think from the interval screen (below) then the 2nd line is the actual pace, and the int pace (bottom left) is the average for that interval? Is that correct? Sometimes the actual pace would jump quickly after a hill for example (I guess this is related to question 1 above)

Lastly a suggestion I keep meaning to make, is there a way to have the Route used previously to be automatically cleared after it was completed? ie todays intervals suddenly popped up an off route message when I wasn't following a route, but it had remembered my route from Sundays run!

Thanks!

Greg

The best option for current pace when running is the pedometer. In your screenshot you are correct that the second line is the current pace and the bottom left is the average for the interval so far.

No-one has asked for automatically clearing the route at the end of the workout. I prefer to leave it as it is and let people specifically unselect the route rather than do it automatically. If you are in the same area as the route then it is likely that you still want to see the route and would be annoyed if you can't. Sorry about that.

That sounds promising. Keeping fingers crossed that everything works out with Stryd integration.

One thing I would really love: having an indicator (a small color dot would be sufficient) to see if the Stryd is connected, something like GPS status.

I will probably add something like that at the top of the screen. I haven't decided yet but it will probably be a dot or a small S.
