I was wondering if the Airpods will work with the Apple TV? i know that Apple mentioned other devices such as Macs and iPad's but i was wondering about the Apple TV?

I've not heard of this change of policy. Regardless, plenty of people will still be buying them after the 31 Oct.

3 months seems a long time! it's a big jump from 2 weeks.

.

Yes, like standard Bluetooth earbuds. They won't have the instant-pair through (from everything I've read)

It'll be released within October since starting on 11/1, the return period won't be 2 weeks any more but 3 months. Apple won't want people to be able to use the Airpods for 3 months risk free...

Because of the holidays? Well, I think it's safe to say that if you roll in three months later with some VERY used Airpods, you might run the risk of not getting your money back.

I am not sure if the condition a product is in matters, I understand it opens a can of worms for consumers to basically use them over a rather generous trial period and basically just get their money back afterwards.

I know Best Buy's return policy date changes on Nov. 1st as well.

Yeah, a lot of retailers including Amazon and B&H Photo extend their return policies beginning November 1 through January for the holidays so that people can buy gifts early and not worry about being unable to return them after Christmas. Unless your Airpods look like they've been very badly abused, it's likely that Apple will give you a refund. Heck, even if they've been abused, they'll probably give you a refund.

You're saying Apple is changing their return period from 14 days to 90 days? Got any proof to backup this ridiculous claim?
This happens every year over the Christmas Period, lets you buy present early but still be able to return them after if unwanted

Apple will refund them as long as it has everything original. Even if they stop working, you can still return them and actually, not working is a pretty good excuse to return. If you read their return condition, they only say you need to repackage it with everything you receive with it. Of course you should keep them relatively new to avoid questions.

I have had good luck with Apple returns in the past here in the US, but I really do think that if you show up with some beaten up Airpods 3 months after November 1st, they're not going to take them back.

If they are in good condition, of course they will. :)

I hope Apple announce the release of the Airpods at next weeks event. I think it would be great to be able to order them soon, not to mention they will probably be very popular and sell out really fast.

Yesterday i got a pair of BOSe SoundSport wireless headphones in my hands. Its firmware is updated through a Bose iOS app.

How do the Apple AirPods cope with (future? firmware updates ? Through BT while the dock or else ?

Thanks, I was just wondering..... :)

Only in the US you get such a return policy.

In Hong Kong there was no return policy for Apple Watch and iPhone 7 / 7 Plus. I have a feeling the AirPods will have the same condition.

In a way it is better. Otherwise people will all buy the Airpods thinking they can return them easily and it will be difficult to get hold of one on day 1.

Moreover, we have to worry if we get stock which has been tested or used by someone else before. Have to end up checking for ear wax. Lol.

I was at Target today and saw they had some JayBird Freedoms in-stock which are Bluetooth Headphones I have wanted for a while so I was so close to getting them but I remembered AirPods are coming in like less than a week, I just am hoping they come out soon or I'll just bite the bag and get the Freedoms even though it doesn't sync as easily as the AirPods. So hopefully soon Apple, hopefully soon Apple.
