Yeah last week I was saying I’m not going to upgrade my 14 Pro. I guess I’ll be upgrading this fall. Lmao!
I was wondering if HomePod was going to get "sensible Siri", as opposed to the comedically crap Siri we're lumbered with currently...
Shame on you, Apple. My iPhone 14 Pro Max, which I purchased just one year ago, no longer supports Apple Intelligence. It's disappointing that the "most advanced iPhone ever" from just one year ago has the same software capabilities as an iPhone XR from 2018.

Integrating ARM processors isn’t a technical feat. Windows needs to consider legacy software while Apple doesn’t. It is easier for a far less popular platform with far less 3rd party support to break compatibility with legacy software by moving architectures than it is a mainstream platform with 10000000X support.
Apple Silicon is a TSMC technical achievement, not Apple. Apple is a repackager that can’t engineer themselves out of a plastic bag. Truth hurts.
Apple’s history and business model is about being popular and having high sales volume to get good deals from suppliers. They don’t actually develop any of the technology they use in their products.
The iPhone 4S was the only device that had Siri when it launched, and it had no backwards compatibility at all. They still sold 60 million of them.
Just saying...it's not. Unless we hear they are screenshotting everything and then not encrypting anything, which we won't, it's nothing like Recall. Man, I wish people would READ and THINK before commenting.

I think the innovation is taking the users data, converting it into a vector DB, then allowing the cloud GPUs to have access to that data. It's not as easy as it sounds. Running the Vector database on a mobile device is insane. You would almost need to be running a very small LLM on the local hardware. that local LLM would be answering questions to the much larger hosted one. (I don't have my lab set up in my new country, but this gave me some very cool ideas...)
So - does that mean none of those new Siri features will work on the iPhone 14 Pro, or does that mean like some of the features are locked out? Asking for a friend. Lol
It's a shame that it will be probably locked out of certain countries or regions like Visual Lookup or other not so advanced features.

Well, it doesn't have a neural engine as capable as the 15Pro... what can Apple do about that? It's unfortunate, for sure, but **** happens.
Or...they still work the way they do today, which you seemed to be happy about before. 🤔
You see an AI integrated between a cloud platform, an OS, apps, and more and you don't see where this is different? Microsoft can't even integrate disparate Co-Pilots yet.
