Noticed this yesterday and I even own a Nike watch. I cannot add the complication to other watch faces, and I used to be able to do that.

To fix, uninstall the Nike Run Club app from your watch via the Watch app on your fun. Just click uninstall. Wait a minute and then install (reinstall) the app back on the watch. You may need to do a quick setup in the NRC app on your phone. And viola, the complication has returned to use on any face. AND you do not loose any of your run data.

Can't uninstall other than by toggling "show app on Apple Watch." That doesn't solve the problem of adding the complication to infograph either.

Yes. click that switch. Unshow..then show again. It worked for me. and just worked for wifey's watch too to show as a complication on other faces. Corrected steps above. It is essentially uninstalling the app from the watch : )

Developers need to update their complications - some already have.
The main developer that seemed to miss the boat was Apple. The most information dense watch face and there isn’t a Messages or Email complication? This pretty much makes the two new faces unusable for me.

At least I can monitor important things like wind speed and air quality index I guess  The perfect watch for a budding meteorologist.

Hopefully it is just delayed like all Apple software has been recently, and we’ll see it in 5.1

Still not there on infograph. complications jump from "Music" to "Solar." I just realized that others are missing like "News."

Maybe I'm missing something but since Home is not an informational app per se why wouldn't you just make it a favorite and then it is available at a press of a button? Maybe I am missing something but I prefer informational complications like maybe one from my home thermostat that shows me the temperature at home.

I hope they are working on a super duper HomeKit complication that could do stuff like that, have a temperature reading. But to not ship with even the current dumb icon one seems pretty hard to justify. If the bedroom light is still bright and my wife fell asleep I don’t want to use Siri to turn it off.

Before I criticise I try to think of reasons why this might not have happened, because there is a reason for everything. But you would think shipping a static icon for the new face complications to launch HomeKit isn’t that hard.

I wish there was a way to permanently HIDE the Nike complication from the Nike-exclusive faces of my Series 2 watch. Has anyone figured out a way to do that? Because, frankly, the Nike app has never worked properly on my Nike-branded Apple watch. So, I'd rather have that complication space used for something else.

Might be the wrong thread for your question. We’re all trying to get it to show up on our faces on the series 4!

As I said, it might just be me but I don't see a need for a static icon complication to launch HomeKit when you could make it a favorite and it is a click away. I prefer something that tells me something like my Honeywell Thermostat could show me the indoor temperature of my house. Now that, to me, is more useful than a static icon to launch HomeKit.

Hey all,
I realize before I even post this that no one will likely be able to help me with this, at least not yet. But I still wanted to mention it.

I was looking through the online manual for the Apple Watch which is already updated for series 4. In particular I was looking at all the available Watch Faces and it lists all the complications each watch face can use. What I found interesting, or maybe I should say distressing, is that for both the new infograph and modular infograph watch faces, it does not list Podcast as a complication you can add! This is the app I use the most on my watch by far and I was shocked to see the new watch faces apparently can't display a complication for it!

I wonder why they would leave it off?

I'm hoping this is just an error but it very well may not be. I was really looking forward to the infograph watch face because I thought I could have all the complications I use on a single face. Sadly that may not be the case now.

If this turns out to be true, it's lessened my excitement for the Series 4.

totally agree!
I agree that infograph is terribly disappointing. I won’t use it. It cannot even display Apple’s own messages app as a complication. Not to mention others I use on the main face. So the ONLY option for me is an old face ... Infograph is useless.

Does everyone realize that the reason you are not seeing some complications in the modular watch faces is because the developer hasn't updated their app to use the new complications? It isn't Apple's fault that the developer didn't update their app to the support the new complications.

Exactly how I feel after trying it for one day

Its not a only problem of the third party apps! In the new Series 4 Watch faces are also many stock apps from apple not available like Home, Mail, Phone, Podcasts and so on!

Of course i am talking about the Apple complications, not 3rd party...

I find Infograph great and can't wait for some updated complications such as maybe the Score and things like that which will give me meaningful information on my watch face and not just a static icon. For static icons I just use Favorites and I can get to them quickly.

For me not having the stock apps listed such as Home, Phone, Podcasts, etc. not as a complication on the Infograph Watch Face is not a big deal because they are static icons and I want informational icons such as maybe the score of my favorite team's game. For static icons I just use the favorites and can jump to them quickly. If I want HomeKit I just jump to the favorites list and then hit HomeKit. Not a big deal to me.

Apparently, there are many Apple app complications where Apple has no idea (yet?) what to use the larger space for the complication for, but also doesn‘t just want to use the old complication in a bigger size (because it would look a little over-sized / primitive). The „solution“ is to not have/allow any complication for the infograph faces, which is very stupid and disappointing. FWIW, infograph modular is even worse off than the analog infograph, because the latter at least gets several (e.g. Calendar and Reminders) complications for the corners, but i-mod doesn‘t even have that style of complication. As it is, i-mod on the S4 is worse than the old modular on S3. I expect better from Apple.

What you mean with Favorites?
And in the new Series 4 Faces are not only informational icons. What is with a Contact from your friends? Is shows a picture and you can jump to the contacts Menu. And Heart rate, Breath...no "Informations" in my opinion. So why can't I choose others like Podcasts or Home?

This page may shed some light on the complications (ha) involved with designing complications. I'm sure it's just a matter of time until 3rd party devs update apps to match the new styles. However, that Apple shipped S4 without making updated versions of its stock apps/complications is pretty frustrating. You're telling me they couldn't pull one dev and one designer to make this happen? Pssssssht.
