I haven’t used my Mac with DB3. I am hoping for an update today because its state is bad currently.
Hopefully today it will come and will fix a lot of drawbacks.

It’s funny how obsolete Catalina feels to me after using Big Sur for a while. Even though I am not fully in love with the new UI but I get what Craig meant when he said you grow used to the new interface pretty fast.

rember this BETA software and there are a lot of apps not working, Virtuisation software for one "Parallels and fusion". Don't be in hurry to install what is still not working properly just to try something new. "Patience is a Must in this Case"
Agree. I personally have the luxury of 2 machines (1 personal one from work).
My personal one I use for testing Big Sur and I expect lots of issues throughout this time.
Normally I don't jump on the beta trains but a spare.... who cares

i am installing Beta 4, though, in a Parallels VM. Let’s see how it goes. With Beta 3 I simply got a black screen or I would constantly get kicked back to the login screen.

Hello egeek84,

The number 1.42325692356235235623652365 does not "look random". It appears to have an unusual number of occurrences of the digits 2, 3, and 5. Of course, this could happen in a random number.

J/K, I couldn't resist making a comment. I'm a mathematician!

Besides, during these difficult times (COVID-19, political and social unrest, etc.), it's good to have a bit of humor.

😂

apple will release it when they feel it's ready (and we'll still moan & groan about it's 'beta-like' behavior). so much discussion about something that doesn't yet exist

you all know its all based on the severity of the bugs right? if they can't iron the major bugs in DB they're not going to release the PB. So far I've seen DB4 still with major bugs. Theres no point referencing the past years as each year comes with different bugs. Given that they're all working from home now, things are going to be even slower.

Working from home is not that big a impairment to software engineers/testers these days. Especially for people that have changed the methods they interact with peers, meet online, share/author/present documentation. Apple has been doing this since Mid March, it is early August now. Its not hard to be interactive to just about everything you did at work at home with good connectivity and enough hardware setup. The reason I chronicled the releases is because I been following development of the MacOS for a long time, it was just a comparison to the initial launches of 10.16 vs 11.0 for public beta tests. 11.0 being a significant milestone usually relates to many more changes involved rising the launch difficulty. :)
