a better place
I think it looks more like the A9 than a Samsung, and given A9 has sold better than the M9 did - can't blame them for following the crowd.

I'm not convinced this will be able to go up against the two LG & Samsung however. That being said as bland as it looks, i like it better than the leaked G5 design wise.

The only thing which makes it look like a Samsung in that photo is the fingerprint scanner, which I like the position of. I just wish it was bigger and rounder, like the iPhone one. Or maybe fill that empty space with a speaker. Or not have it there at all. Because if they fill it with an HTC logo...well, let's see what I do.
Still anticipating capacitive buttons.

I will say this, hypothetically speaking. If the Galaxy S7 and One M10, will have pretty much the same shared style and design, all metal body, high end build, etc.. We know they share the exact same hardware; SD820 + 4GB RAM + QHD screen, based off Marshmallow.

I would actually choose the HTC, due to Sense IMO being better than Touchwiz to me, it runs lighter, takes up way less resource, isn't a hog on the system like TW, and the more recent versions of Sense are surprisingly snappy fast, and like zero lag whatsoever. I prefer stock vanilla Android #1, but always thought Sense was second best, it just runs very fluid and fast for a UI, no lag or hiccups like Touchwis or LG's UI.

Point is, if I was looking at a new smartphone, and they both looked 99% the same deign wise, I'd choose the Sense UI over TW UI

Same camera?

I'd go with TW. And I'd definitely take the Samsung camera package before it got anywhere near a discussion on skins.

I'm sure they'll sell enough somewhere to potter along and well reprise this mext year.

Here are the specs list.... from the HTC Source himself... 5.2 inch QHD display, Snapdragon 820, same camera sensor as the Nexus P6 with OIS and laser assist auto focus, 4GB of RAM, 32Gb storage plus microsd card support.

Also, the pic EVLeaks posted today it on point.

One word that makes Samsung > HTC:

CAMERA.

The One M10 will use the same camera as the Nexus 6P, but also with laser focus, so to me, that's a pretty sweet camera, yeah maybe not #1 like the S7 will have, but certainly a nice camera, and big step up for HTC.

Same here, mostly because HTC's updates are ten times better than Samsung's. That's not even an exaggeration, that's a statistic. HTC on the A9 promise to get updates out by the 15th day of the original release. Samsung users have been waiting for the Marshmallow update for 143 days and counting. For this reason, I'm strongly considering an HTC as my next phone if they get everything else right by the time I'm in the market for a new phone.

Is that original enough for you? I don't really like it. Looks too much like the M7, and it just doesn't have anything saying comfort.

Chamfered edges never easy in the hands, like a rounded edge design. What size battery is this thing ? Will only think about this phone, if the battery is at least 3,000mAh minimum, would like to see a little larger.

Three years ago, HTC announced probably the best-looking and most innovative smartphone since the original iPhone. Fast forward to now, and HTC seems to be going the way of BlackBerry...

HTC better BRING IT this year because Samsung just refined the most lustworthy smartphone in the S7 edge for the design conscious. And LG brought innovation to the forward thinkers. Other companies whether in design, innovation, and price are beating HTC across the board. Do or die time for HTC. Start off by not calling it a One M device.

HTC just need to sack the head designer of their smartphone design language. Since the guy who created the M7 and M8 left, HTC dont have a clue on what to do. The new guy in charge currently is destroying the company.

I feel sorry for Jason McKenzie. He is a good guy that helped me get a brand new M9 after a few hiccups with HTC sending me refurbs with screen manufacturing being off by miles. However, I don't think anyone can trust HTC blindly. Through my experience, their customer service is decent, but their repair process is poor. They need a fresh start and I think Jason would be the guy to lead the company wide changes they could make to save themselves.

This phone is DOA. Goodbye HTC.
I wouldn't say that. The skin is still better than Samsungs, as is the industrial design being all metal and the specs are supposed to be the same. In the end it will come down to price and the camera, if they can nail those (which is a big challenge as the s7 camera seems to be fantastic) they can at least compete.

If it is showing chamfered edges through the teaser trailer, hoping it is comfortable to hold because the iPhone 5 series weren't. I hate the rear design of the iPhone 6 series and find it uglier than the G5 visor rear but at least the iPhone 6 series are more comfortable to hold than the iPhone 4 and 5 series.
