Since they did this in Sept, I am guessing a 14.1 tomorrow announcement during the iPhone event.

My thinking is nothing for 14.2 today. There may be a 14.1 “GM” following the event.
I'm still wondering how a 14.1 release will work if that's what's already out on the iPhone 12 in the box. It's not like Apple to have different build numbers for the same release version for different devices. Even iPadOS and iOS build numbers still match up for the most part.. Not to mention all of the bug fixes in place with 14.0.1 and the 14.2 betas not being there on the iPhone 12 out of the box.. There's gotta a quick turnaround from 14.1 to 14.1.1 or...??

Or maybe that 14.1 "GM" is updated from whatever 14.1 is out on the iPhone 12 already?

IMO: I’m guessing its just going to be 14.1 to get the version numbers aligned correctly. The iphone 12 series has an older “14.1” build that is likely 14.0 with the 12 series support.
I hope we get 14.1 or whatever they come out with plus more fixes than the 14.0.1 update.

Yeah, any fixes from 14.2b2 (and potentially 14.2b3) can just be rolled into an updated build of 14.1 for a "GM", and since 14.1 was never in the dev/public beta phase, there's no way to confirm if a released 14.1 build number is old or relatively new.. I still think they're going to need a 14.1.1 to bring the iPhones 12 up to speed.

GET IT??? SPEED? badumdumTSH 🥁

Well, there we go, for those that doubted 14.1 would come to all devices..... I was wrong that it would be out next week, but still, wasn't far off. At least I was right with 14.2 beta 3 being today :D

14.1 completing install from the IPSW on the developer website on my 11 Pro Max. Definitely images there for all phones

Not yet, also waiting for Apple TV update and it hasn't surfaced yet either. Did my own device via IPSW, other two I'm just waiting for OTA on.

Isn't tvOS just 14.2 beta? not 14.1? I might have missed something with all that is going on, but can't see on home page about tvOS 14.1

Edit: ignore me, wasn't seeing on MR, but seeing it reported elsewhere. Not seeing the OTA on my device yet.

Seeing as Apple Pulled the release, it seems, probably best not to download it from other places.....
It's probably a safe bet to not download the .ipsw from anywhere else other than Apple in general...

LOL, and I got the reverse. Well 50% isn’t bad!

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was tomorrow, especially given that iOS 14.0 dropped with one day's notice. Looks like Apple has opened submissions to the App Store for 14.1.

I think we might see 14.1 as early as tomorrow. With ios 14.2 beta 3, who would download the ios 14.1 GM. It’s not even available as OTA for users who have ios 14 profiles.
