Would love to see a beta show up in the 4:00 window, but I’m guessing we’ll see it tomorrow instead.

Probably coming out tomorrow... esp if there’s more betas down the road I don’t think they’d want to release a beta next Tuesday (Election Day).

nothing new on here when it comes to betas or releases.
When it comes to iOS, I wouldn't really say I'm expecting anything today. The biggest issue I've had with beta 4 is that my iPad rebooted when trying to change a wallpaper. For beta 4, that is the only feedback I've had to send.

Straying off topic of this particular thread, but looking through the link you posted, Big Sur is surprising me a bit. That one seems to have gotten quiet. If I recall correctly, I thought they went to weekly releases, but that seems to have stopped. I've never done macOS betas though, so I don't really know what "out of the ordinary" for those would be. I stick to iOS and tvOS betas

And Big Sur needs more attention as well. There are show-stopping bugs in this one, depending on what you do with your computer.

all of the betas ended with an "a" build last week so my assumption was they would be the last betas for 14.2 and the public release would be this week. assumed too much.

You'd need a GM before a public release. Last week wasn't a GM. An 'a' build can then be released as a GM.

9to5mac usually posts already if a beta is coming today, and they haven't.

Since nothing today, I would say it's more likely we're getting GM next week, with public release the week after.

Couldn't you just add the 14.2 beta to the new phone? Or has apple not built it yet for the new devices?
The dev beta profile works installing 14.2 b4 onto the 12 Pro. It's only available OTA and they haven't released any IPSW's for the 12.
I think I read that the public beta is also available over OTA for the 12's but I'm on the dev beta track.

It's all so confusing this year because the labeling between the dev and public betas was so wonky. I used one of the profile websites to grab the profile for my 12 so I don't even know which track I'm on anymore.

Yeah, it's been managed pretty terribly by Apple this year. Hopefully it settles down and gets organized once 14.2 gets released.
I think most of the profiles on non-Apple websites are dev beta profiles since you can always get on the official public beta with Apple directly, if that helps.

Is the tvOS 14.1 GM still available on the Developer website? It was released as GM along with iOS 14.1 after the event two weeks ago but still hasn’t been released publicly.
The 14.1 that was released to the public on Oct 20 is/was the same as the GM.

iOS was yes, but they released a tvOS GM on October 13th as well but that has never seen the light of day to the public.
Do you mean for HomePod or ATV?
HomePod, 14.1 is released publicly.
ATV, there was never a 14.1. There was 14.0, 14.0.1, 14.0.2, the latter 2 didn't have betas, and the 14.2 betas.

It was definitely live at one point on the developer page.

Interesting. I stand corrected.

There were no beta cycles for 14.1 and it never released publicly so it may have been abandoned and switched to 14.2 betas?
