iOS 14 Release Speculation

Yes it’s a bit of a strange one. It sounds like 14.2 is quite stable on all platforms so it shouldn’t be too far away now!

I would guess it releases mid November to the public. I hope we get another beta or GM release tomorrow though.

Yeah, it's been managed pretty terribly by Apple this year. Hopefully it settles down and gets organized once 14.2 gets released.
I think most of the profiles on non-Apple websites are dev beta profiles since you can always get on the official public beta with Apple directly, if that helps.

I'd say there is still a chance since they are rolling out that new Clips update. Sometimes they do something like that first, and then push software updates a little later.

You'd need a GM before a public release. Last week wasn't a GM. An 'a' build can then be released as a GM.

9to5mac usually posts already if a beta is coming today, and they haven't.

Since nothing today, I would say it's more likely we're getting GM next week, with public release the week after.

False. There are loads of releases where we never saw a GM or RC and went straight from beta build to final release (by dropping beta build identifiers).

They are skipping big sur 11 and jumping to 11.0.1 and it won’t be out anytime soon as it’s now beta 1
