I am thinking it’s now pointless to keep on guessing as no body here has a clue when 14.5 will be rehearsed unless they are one of the developing teams .

I'm assuming you meant released and not rehearsed and uh.. I don't know how to break it to you, but this is a speculation thread. You can't come onto a speculation thread and ask people not to speculate/guess. If you don't like guessing, don't, but don't tell others what to do, lol.

I doubt we will not get an RC, as there’s new iPads coming with it.

With so many bugs still remain in beta 8, I think I will wait for 14.5.1
There will never be a point in time where we all are satisfied with the release. The bugs are removed on an exponentially flattening curve basis.
By the time we are reaching near saturation in the iOS 14, the next major version iOS 15 will drop and we will be back to square one with significant bugs hampering our basic functionalities.
“No sign of the final version”?
Why do you say that? I think its fairly obvious the final version will be released, if not Tuesday, within 7-9 days of Tuesday, depending on when the items announced Tuesday ship.
Personally, I think the release version ships Tuesday. There would be no need for a Release Candidate, if the newly announced products for which there might be “secret code” don’t ship immediately. Developers will be able to prepare apps for the new devices against the public release and have them ready in time for the new devices. My guess is that all developers will need to do is select some toggles in xCode to enable whatever new features there may be.

Maybe we will see RC today and release tomorrow after event. We know Apple loves to give devs 1 day before public release with ios14!
Nah they waited this long means there’s something in the final one they don’t want us seeing till the event

I am in the "release tomorrow after event camp" or secondly, RC tomorrow and release Thursday. Either way think we will see the final version tomorrow.
Very curious at how roll out is going to be! I doubt we'll see apps burning from this release, but should make for interesting updates afterwards.
