To update on the scroll lag,I contacted the Chrome development team and they asked me to send my device logs and later yesterday emailed me the invite code to try out the latest Chrome beta release and OMG its silky smooth now.Zero scroll lag.In fact it seems better than Safari on my Air 2.Dont know what they did but it worked !! Now thats called responding to feedback

It's funny what happens when you go through proper avenues to fix your "lag" issues instead of just blaming it all on iOS 9. You were told quite a few times it was a Chrome issue to deal with and you kept saying "no it's iOS 9". But I guess we're all just "fanboys" as you put it elsewhere and can't be the fault of 3rd party apps not being optimized.
So clearly it's iOS 9 and everyone has the same exact experince and those who are saying they aren't experiencing the same thing are either lying or are blind, right? Seems like this single post is essentially proof enough do debunk all that stuff.
So anyone who doesn't have lag is clearly using a beta version of chrome right? Give me a break.
Not seeing the forest for the trees there: clearly all these absolute iOS 9 attacks that can't even consider anything else as possibilities and that other people can have different experiences can obviously have other things behind them and are more nuanced that just the absolute extremes that are constantly presented, as this very experience proves.
He's more referring to the fact that Radon has been going on and on and on and on about scroll stutter in a few apps (Chrome being one of them) and 100% blamed it on iOS 9 and could never accept the idea that it could be the apps themselves. And yet there he posts that a new version in the works for Chrome solves it entirely within that app. Man iOS 9 is so bad, how dare Apple not optimize 3rd party apps.
He did reach out to the chrome people, so maybe he has accepted some of that idea.
I'm not talking about chrome. Most tasks on iOS 9 stutter and I only have 2 this party apps on my iPhone. The rest is stock. However, those apps are just games and m iPhone stutters just the same without them installd. So yes, I would say that Apple has not optimized their own apps. I'm glad his stutter is gone in that one third party app, but what about the built in apps that Apple has supplied with the OS? What about the interface itself that stutters even with a clean install? Surely that's Apples fault and not that of the third party developers.
yes, that's what i asked. i hoped 9.3 resolved it..its annoying to tap 2-3 times sometimes to respond.
I would still blame iOS for all the stutter while scrolling. Apple engineers changed smooth scrolling code and hence most apps started stuttering. The developers are lazy to fix something which was working perfectly few months back. It is not their fault.

In the review it is clearly mentioned about stutter on a device which is as powerful as iPad Pro. So this thing is also being noticed in mainstream media.
We do not need bulls*** reason that "blah blah blah iOS is getting more complex" Stutter is real. The fact that it is spoiling the touted "Apple Experience" should be enough for Tim Cook to discipline his erring or complacent staff.

Wait.....so Apple is never allowed to change their own code? And it's their fault 3rd party developers don't adapt their apps to work properly on new code?
You guys are seriously beyond ridiculous and are grasping way too hard to validate your complaints/whines.
Yes iOS stutters, nearly all versions of iOS have had areas where it does/has. But when your "lag" leader even says his disastrous Chrome lag has been fixed in an upcoming update for Chrome, it's proof iOS is NOT always to blame and is NOT as terrible as the very few of you keep clamouring on about endlessly.
Spoiling what for whom? I happen to like the "touted" Apple experience on all my devices. I can't speak for the masses, we'll know after the next earnings call.
This stutter thing is way overblown. I do not care if cc stutters, Netflix, streaming apps, safari yes.

Why fix if it ain't broken? These days it's a fashion to fix/change something which works flawlessly.
BTW iOS 6 on iPhone 5 and iOS 7 on iPhone 5s/5c were flawless. You don't even know who you are defending. Lol
About your "lag leader" comment, it is clearly a troll comment and I would be shocked if you do not get a warning from mod as it clearly violates the rule of "Name calling"
Changing/updating code isn't unique to Apple. Not sure why they always get precieved as monsters for doing it when every software company does it all the time. Things wouldn't move forward if that didn't happen and we'd still have iPhone OS 1 if Apple never updated to new code.
It's obvious the code for scrolling and such had to change because of Metal. Perhaps that change to move to Metal was required (because it's supposed to reduce CPU strain) for features such as all the Proactive stuff that probably is constantly running because it's monitoring behaviours. Or maybe for Low Power Mode. Since that also throttles down the CPU, it would have a much less effect on animations with Metal requiring 50% less CPU than OpenGL. Who knows really. They did it regardless probably because they have future plans and it was needed for something. Maybe we don't even have the features yet that required such a shift into Metal.
Metal for the time being has had quite some growing pains for iOS making the transition into being OS wide. With seeing how well Metal has done for OS X (there was a recent post roughly a week ago with new Metal benchmarks I believe on 10.11.4 that just smashed OpenGL) I have no doubt it will get better for iOS. Personally I don't think we'll see that till iOS 10.
As for the "lag leader" comment. It's literally no different than the "fanboy" or "Apple apologist" name calling that gets thrown at anyone who isn't upset about some slight stutter. Yet they are never warned or removed.
That is not true at all, I received a 24 hour suspension for using similar terms in a posting. And without prior warning.

iOS 7 on 5s was flawless? I guess we have different definitions of what "flawless" means.
That is until we are talking about lag when there's no room for people having different experiences with.
that's not what the forums show, I see people who always complain about lag, I see people who say they never have lag and I've seen some who have had lag or stutter that now say its been improved with newer builds of the current iOS or beta versions of apps. Different experiences if you ask me.
At the same time there are some of those who see lag who directly or indirectly say that those who are not experiencing it or perhaps experiencing it to a different degree are either blind or are lying essentially, often trying to imply that there are no differences in experience.
It goes both ways, there are some who say that because they don't see lag or stutter, that it must not exist for anyone. Its here in the forums, a poster in these forums has been accused of making fake video because of a certain video of 8.4.1 that showed better screen response than any version of iOS 9.
There are a few that have been like that, but mostly it's been the other way around.
