My 9 month old 14 Pro Max has now gone down from 100% to 97%

Its probably going to end up worse than my 12 Pro Max!
7 months later I'm on 89% which its been sat at for around 2 months.

So within 5 months of that post I have dropped 11%

Since updating to 17.6 I can't get a day out if it anymore. I find myself at around 50% battery at midday.

launch day 14pm with current updates installed as deployed
534 cycle count.....87% design capacity
I almost exclusively charge through magsafe or an apple certified wireless charger
Here we are about 4 months later. It looks like I'm at 84% health now. 653 charge cycles according to coconut. My Applecare will expire in October which is a shame. This battery won't make it to 80 for another year. I guess I'll just go month to month for a while.

Wow! At 385 cycles I am at 84%.

I try not to charge past around 80%. Been using a 24 watt charger also. No MagSafe charging.
Side note, I’m also on the iOS 18 beta train 😂

1 year after purchase of an iP14 PLUS (512 GB)

capacity = 96% and 68 cycles... that´s absolutely ok.
I am just a "normal" user. phone, not a "Power" User: Just phone, surfing, some messages,....
Charging always using the "old" 10 W charger and never inductive charging...

switching from an iP SE 2nd gen. to the iP14 Plus one year ago I am very satisfied. No problems about battery capacity any more at all - perfect size of the screen after the too small screen of the SE 2nd gen.

PERHAPS I will buy a new model in 2-3 years... 😁

Launch day 14 pro max. Apple says 87% battery life left. PowerUtil says 83%/79%? After 671 cycles. Interesting such a big discrepancy. Thankfully I have a cracked back glass and AppleCare+ so can get it replaced via express before I pass it down to my mother and get the 16 pro max. Worst battery life of all the iPhones I’ve ever had.

iOS uses an average, while PowerUtil is grabbing real time. Battery health fluctuates thousands of times a day because anytime anything changes, charging, current, draw rate, etc., will effect battery health. Apple's meter, for a lack of better terms, is just an average of all those fluctuations. What PowerUtil is grabbing is only a snapshot of the battery the moment that the analytic file was created.

purchased my iPhone 14 Plus one year ago, still battery capacity of 95% today.

Don´t need more than this wonderful phone:
fantastic battery capacity for 24-48 hours, perfect screen size, and its 512 GB are more than enough.
Even the "standard" lenses deliver really very good results.

For perfect photography I use my Fujifilm XH-2 with a bunch of Fujifilm´s best primes...

I will skip at least another 2-3 iPhone generations - maybe the iPhone 20 will be my next purchase... :D

since a battery replacement for the 14 plus model costs only about 90€ there will be perhaps a repair in 2026/27...

The difference in the battery numbers is apple’s measurement is based on the minimum manufacturer battery size of 4323 mAh while the other is a percentage of the actual battery size which can be significantly larger. My 14 PM actual battery is 4559 mAh. I have 303 cycles on my launch day model and is listed as having 4157 left or 91.18% while apple’s battery check lists it as 97%. The bigger the difference between the two percentages, the larger your actual original battery size was compared to the minimum spec of 4323.

86% battery health for my iPhone 14 Pro Max that I received on launch day. I was at the Apple Store yesterday to get a new battery for my Apple Watch Series 6 and asked about how much it would cost to get a new battery for my iPhone 14 Pro Max. The AppleCare+ expired yesterday, but the nice CS man said he could fit me in for a battery replacement for my iPhone and despite it not being < 80% he said he’d do it for free. Wow, I was shocked, I was ready to pay for a new battery that way my partner would get my iPhone 14 Pro Max with a new battery. He said that this usually isn’t done, but he decided to do it for me. 1.5 hours later I returned to the Apple Store and picked up my 14 Pro Max with the new battery smell 😜 free of charge.

Happy with performance and battery life tho, still rocking iOS 16.7.2 🤪
