Now at 88% (11/22) having dropped from 90% after updating to 17.4.

Edit: Make that 87%. SMH

Battery degradation is not linear; the capacity will drop a little quicker at first, then the endurance will level off (for the most part), and finish with a nosedive.

Here’s a fair representation of capacity to usage:

launch day 14pm with current updates installed as deployed
534 cycle count.....87% design capacity
I almost exclusively charge through magsafe or an apple certified wireless charger

Lunch day device, down to 85% now. I am contemplating if I should buy the new device this year or just get the battery replaced on this one.

Purchased my iPhone 14 PLUS (512 GB) on september 2023. (about 10 months ago).
IOS shows 96% battery health status.

To avoid overheating, I don´t use inductive charging, and charge only with the old little apple charger of the former iPhone SE (11 W?) - since day one always charging in "optimized charging mode".

From day one on I protect my iP 14 Plus with a SP-case and let it always in the case. This might degrade heat disssipation and lead sometimes to overheating or at least enhanced temperatures of my iP14 Plus when using it, but surely not so much while charging (always only with 11 W ).

had surely not even 10 times a lower capacity level than 40% at the end of the day.

So - all in all not bad but neither overwhelming good... The good news: exchanging of the Original battery of the 14 Plus (if necessary so) by apple costs only about 90 EUR all inclusive. That costs round about 30 EUR/year or even less for a new battery - and will surely not break my neck.

My SE 2nd gen. that I used before during 3 years lost max. capacity down to 85%.

My Dad has the Xr since launch day and it's on 84% battery health. I don't understand how these new iPhone's battery health drop so fast. I assume Apple makes it in a way where you have to replace the battery each year or get a new device. I realize that the older iPhone's battery health doesn't drop as fast compared to the new products.

My 14 pro was bought pretty much exactly a year ago and it’s down to 86%…. It always feels quite hot as well. Most of my charging is being done on a MagSafe charger. I assume this is why the health isn’t great.

Finally mine is down to 84% now.

It was drastically reducing fast but then stayed on 85% for way longer than I expected.

Let’s see how it goes from here on.

Coconut battery shows different details though.

Mines on 86% now as a day 1 user.

I will use my applecare+ to change it before i upgrade to the 16PM by paying the £25 excess.

Anyone know how much it will cost if I want to replace a shattered back glass at the same time too?

will the two £25 stack or will it just be the singular excess fee?

My 14 PM is now at 81.5% according to Coconut. Will Apple replace? Also, my M1 IPP is at 85.5%. I still have AppleCare. Will Apple replace that? TIA

Well, I've only had my 15 pro max since February. I'm at 114 cycle count, and 100% capacity. Manufacture date was November, 2023.
