I've told everyone in my family with 6S+ to stay on 10.3.3 And they have, phew

I don't wanna never hear the end of bugginess and poor battery and needing new phones cause the update.

Major Crisis averted (they aren't upgrade antsy in general either, and iPhone specific iOS 11 features are pretty slim so they aren't missing much either)

Especially another watch series 0 in the family. Don't wanna hear someone needing a new iPhone AND new watch. Yikes

I have sent mine into apple before when on a beta and they restored it to previous version

When I was on 9.3.3 and tried iOS 10 beta they rolled it back to watchOS 2 from 3 beta

Not sure in this case but couldn't hurt to call up support and insist u need iOS 10 for 32 bit stuff and hence watchOS 3 and see what happens? Something to that effect

My watch was also still under warranty at the time i think so no charge. Dunno if there's a fee assuming they even can do it/are willing to

Could also tell them Watch os4 was bad and so was iOS 11 so ur on 10 indefinitely.

Lmk how it goes

--

I have a feeling my watch series 0 will be terrible on watch os 4 Battery life wise and slow to a crawl

It's on3.1 to be pairsble with my 10.1.1 7+ and 10.2 SE

I’ll give that a try - thx!

It's not so hard to go back to iOS 10.3.3 as a last stable release instead of taking phone to Apple. I'm running 11 on my 6s Plus without any problem noticed.

Tough tho for people who don't know how to do anything but hit OTA Update

Especially if you have an iOS 11 backup and wanna revert To iOS 10 and load the backup on it -- complicates things for average user

There are a number of reasons why it may be problematic for someone to roll back. Many remember all the past updates and that things got better with the .1 rollout. Some do not have a PC using their phone and iPad. My case is my Apple Watch - no way to roll it back. I have an appt at an Apple Store tomorrow to hopefully get them to roll it back.

Baseline, we should not have to roll it back. Especially with all the beta testing that went on.
If Apple really listens to it.

Plus how long until 10.3.3 cannot be signed ?

It will happen. Apple wants to increase iOS 11 adoption rates

Stopping iOS 10 from being restored is a good way to bump it up

Usually a few weeks with major releases and often less than that when it comes to other smaller ones. Been like that for a long time.

Yeah but I'm just saying it's been a couple weeks now. Could be any day now

Had my Apple appt today - they were unable to successfully downgrade my watch. :( They did offer to replace it with another model 2 but did not have the black Nike model in stock. They did offer to upgrade me to a 3 - imagine that
I elected to leave and is for now and just see how it goes. The phone is usable but the crashes / freezes are annoying. I’ll continue to play with it till the “X” comes out and then decide what I want top do.

Side note: I did decide that an iPhone 8+ is not in my future. I will look at the iPhone X.
Sides note 2: looked at the Note 8 today - sweet phone. My son is getting one.

Has anyone had any luck with the new update?
Nope. Tried 11.0 1. No help. 11.1 beta is available but I'm waiting. I'm getting tired of restoring this phone. You can call Apple support they don't know what's in 11.1 in fact when I told him that the Beta is available they were not aware of it. Sigh

Yeah, I'm sure my Mom could figure out how to do it. Not.
[doublepost=1507091208][/doublepost]IOS 11 has made my phone a terrible experience. I'm beyond frustrated with Apple.

The stuttering, the unrefined UI, the overall bugginess has burned me out.

I will never switch to Android so I will suffer with this terrible buggy release.

iPhone 6 - worked perfectly fine until this steaming pile.

So I was at the Apple Store and apparently it costs money for them to downgrade my ****ing phone. It's not something covered by Apple care. So I went to my sisters house to get her MacBook and do it myself, but apparently the computer is too old to connect with an iPhone 7. Apple is a ****ing joke...

What? I have never heard of that.

I would ask to speak to a manager

Has anyone gotten them to swap them to a 8+? I’ve already had them swap me out another 7+ but I’m still having problems and now you can’t even go back to ios10.

There's no way they'll do that. I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Only when there's supply shortages of the replacement part, and even then fleetingly and in rare instances

I’ve had them give me around 10 replacement iPhones so far, and a brand new MacBook Pro (replaced a older unit that was completely out of warranty with a brand new showroom model). I’m pretty good at working them, and this update has really messed up my 850$ phone that was working completely fine previously and now I have no option to fix it. They are pretty understanding if you keep at them and have well documented problems over multiple visits...

Keep us posted then :D

Being disgruntled with a sloppy x.0 release is common reception for apple

"iOS 11 is the future! Why would
You EVER want or need to go back?"

My iPhone 7 that I JUST purchased 2 weeks ago was fine until I installed iOS 11. Battery life is absolutely horrendous. I almost wish I got the Plus for th extra juice now if this is how it’s going to be. I wonder if Apple will let me pay the difference and get the 7 Plus. Anyone have any experience with this?

With my job I NEED to have battery life throughout the day and was fine before update. I’ve downgraded to iOS 10 and still no improvement and even installed fresh iOS 11 from scratch and battery is horrible.

Has anyone made any progress here? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills, but both 7+'s that Ive used now are completely broken and I'm really getting tired of it. CONSTANT freezes and glitches. I have an appointment Tuesday and I plan on being pretty forward about wanting them to exchange for a different model. Its just not acceptable to have an update ruin a device like this.

Upgraded my phone yesterday and it is constantly freezing for 10-20 seconds at a time, mostly at the home screen. When I'm inside an app it kind of works for a bit longer, but every minute or so, I press something and have to wait 10-20 seconds before anything happens. Thought it was maybe the re-indexing but 24 hours later it was the same problem.

I tried to backup and restore the phone today (re-installing the backup) but same problem. I guess I'm now trying a clean install to see if it's something I have installed that ****s it up.

Am I the only one?? This is incredibly frustrating.
[doublepost=1507552584][/doublepost]I am experiencing the same thing. Upgraded 10/7/17 hasn't been right since.
Did you find out what it was. Mine won't even power back up now.

Holy crap - I just read the list of items 11.0.3 addresses and it sounds like it was specifically targeted to fix the issues described here. No sound, haptic, unresponsive touch, etc. Anyone confirmed success yet?

On a train at the moment. Later tonight I will definitely try as the issues on my 7+ and IPP 12 g2 are getting worse. :(
