I had my heart set on the Mini, but seeing as how I can get $500 off of the regular 12 or 12 pro for my 7 through T-Mobile ($300 iPhone 7 trade in value + $200 loyalty discount), I may go with the regular 12 or 12 pro. I wish all the phones launched at the same time. I'm sure T-Mobile will have a deal on the Mini, but I don't know if it will be this same one or a different one.

I've been wanting something like the Mini for a while though, so I'll wait it out and hope that there's some good trade-in deals at preorder time.

I called T-Mobile.

For a iPhone 12 Pro 256GB Pacific Blue, is $1099.99

$0 down (Well Qualified)

$45.99 monthly

That is a high monthly payment. I feel like I should just pay it off.

T-Mobile is one of a handful of retailers that are included in Apple's "3% Daily Cash" promotion for the Apple Card.

T-Mobile giving $380 off an iPhone 12 for trading in a 1st generation iPhone SE seems too good to be true, that's over twice what I'd get for selling the phone on eBay. There's gotta be some kind of catch there.

Edit: Oh it looks like it's for new customers only if that wording is to be believed.

Just an FYI

3% Daily Cash is available for purchases using Apple Card with Apple Pay in T‑Mobile U.S. stores, and bill payments and AutoPay on t‑mobile.com and in the T‑mobile app. Authorized T‑Mobile dealers are not eligible for 3% Daily Cash and can be found on t‑mobile.com/store-locator. Sprint account payments, and purchases made through any Sprint checkout, including those at T‑Mobile U.S. stores, are not eligible for 3% Daily Cash.

That's for 30 months without a trade in ?
that is correct.

The phone purchases are 24 monthly payments, not 30. The credits you get are spread out over 30 months. Apple.com has specific pricing and payments for each model, just not the extra promo credits. They have a lesser tradein option.

Has anyone caught the time when pre-orders open up for T-mobile? As far as I can tell they only have this Friday listed but no date unless I missed it somewhere.

Question for those who have had bill credits in the past. If you pay off the phone in full, will the bill credits still apply to your monthly bill?

Thinking about just paying off the phone entirely and just applying the bill credits to my plan each month. We're on a family plan with extended family so I'd like to to make it as easy as possible billing wise.

I asked the question too and got the answer that we still get the credits if the phone was paid off, but they did say that 1 payment and credit had to go through before paying it off to ensure that the credits would continue. So don't immediately pay it off, wait a couple of months.

Perfect! Thanks for the feedback.

I am obsessed with taking photos of my 7 month old daughter. Convince me not to get a Pro Max...

I've got the 11, will try the 12 in the next week or so, and if it hasnt gotten slimmed down enough, I'll return it and get the mini in November. This staggered release works out for those wanting a smaller phone! The thing surprising to me about the 12 is that it's significantly narrower than the 11, and marginally wider than iPhone X but lighter, thinner, and with a larger display, so I think it may be perfect, however the mini is mightily tempting.

How did you get the $200 loyalty discount? I have been with T-Mobile for a long time now and have never heard of the loyalist discount.

If you’ve been with T-Mobile 5 or more years, you get an additional $200 on top of your trade in value when you trade in an iPhone and buy the 12 or 12 pro

Thanks for that link. I can get $415 trade-in for my iPhone 6S+. That is awesome. I paid $675 for the phone 5 years ago. Gotta love T-Mobile offers.

Oh and then she mention so your credit will be 415 -193 so only 222 which got me more confused

From the link Sprint customers get bill credits over 30 months whereas T-Mobile customers get one time payment in a VISA card for the loyalty discount.

I've found that T-Mobile deals are worth it if you don't upgrade frequently. I paid $650 for my 8+ (over the course of 24 payments) three years ago and now they want to give me $415 to trade it in and another $200 for being a loyal customer. Insane.

Has anyone been able to confirm that even if we order through T-Mobile, the 12 and 12 mini will cost $30 more than through Verizon or AT&T?

Yes the credits continue.

To answer my own question, a T-Mo rep just confirmed to me that the 12 models will be $30 more than the Verizon/AT&T pricing. Pretty scummy of Apple to list those as the base prices when they’re promotional prices.
