So I still have a year's worth of remaining credits on my 2018 iPhone on us promo that got me a XS. About $300 left.

In order to take advantage of this year's offers, I'd have to pay off the XS. So spend $300 for $500 off. So only a net savings of $200. Not worth it. Guess I'll hang onto it for another year.

The special looks like it’s for both existing customers and for new lines: the difference is the amount of the bill credits. And it looks like it’s for either the 12 or the Pro, based on the fine print.

I also just saw on T-Mobile website that they have a promotion for the regular 12. Keyword being “join” I assume these deals are only for new customers? Man I would love 680 bill
Credits for my 8

Get iPhone 12 ON US via 30 monthly bill credits when you join and trade in an eligible device.
It looks like there are also deals for existing customers (see post #192 in this thread), although the one you reference is for new customers only, yes.

Like the AT&T deal, this locks you in for 30 months with the threat of having you pay the full device amount if you leave before 30 months are up. 24 months is a lot more palatable to me than 30 because I think 2 years is a pretty reasonable expectation for an upgrade cycle (although I'm at 3.5 years on my iPhone 7 right now). Sigh.

I just got the following from T-Force regarding JUMP! On Demand. Please take it with a grain of salt and understand that last year there were several versions of pricing coming from T-Force so this may change/be wrong:

"For the iPhone 12 64GB, the down payment for well qualified customers would be $79.99 and then $30.00 each month for 18 months. For the iPhone 12 Pro 128GB, the down payment for well qualified customers would be $249.99 and then $28.00 each month for 18 months."

"The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will be available for pre-order starting at 5:00 a.m. PT/8:00 a.m. ET October 16, 2020 and for purchase beginning October 23, 2020. The iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max will be available for pre-order starting at 5:00 a.m. PT/8:00 a.m. ET November 6, 2020 and for purchase beginning November 13, 2020."

Literally had a similar conversation where pre-orders for the Pro Max start on 11/13...Apple gets their employees the correct info immediately - I wonder why TMO can’t.

The $200 loyalty credit is a great deal actually. I can get $500 for a 4 year old iPhone 7. $200 up front and $300 over the course of 30 months. I think I'll take that. Only paid like $700 for the phone.

My 11 Pro was ~$120 down last year on JOD. Did you happen to get the base model or extra storage? It probably also depends on when you ordered. Hope the pricing stays the same. $250 is on the high side for JOD. And agreed that JOD has lost it’s luster over the years.
The 64 gb 11 Pro was under EIP for a regular Jump 2.0 and not JOD. JOD always had lower down payments compared to it if I recall.

I'm doing the same thing, they told me my old credits stay on the account when paying off the EIP.

Torn between buying my phone through T-Mobile, Best Buy, or Apple.

Apple gets me 3% cash back on the Apple Card and 24 months no interest.
Best Buy gets me 6% back in rewards if I pay up front in full.
T-Mobile would get me 3% cash back, similar to Apple.

Hmm.

T-Mobile is one of a handful of retailers that are included in Apple's "3% Daily Cash" promotion for the Apple Card.

T-Mobile giving $380 off an iPhone 12 for trading in a 1st generation iPhone SE seems too good to be true, that's over twice what I'd get for selling the phone on eBay. There's gotta be some kind of catch there.

Edit: Oh it looks like it's for new customers only if that wording is to be believed.

Question for those who have had bill credits in the past. If you pay off the phone in full, will the bill credits still apply to your monthly bill?

Thinking about just paying off the phone entirely and just applying the bill credits to my plan each month. We're on a family plan with extended family so I'd like to to make it as easy as possible billing wise.

I asked them that question and they told me they would as long as the phone was paid off.

I looked at that since I am a long time T Mobile customer and their trade in $ is much better than Apple plus the $200 Mastercard rebate for 5+ year customers....

But 30 months is gruesome!

Since I switch out every year, I am looking at getting the 12 Pro, trading in my 11 for $350, doing an Apple Card 24 months at 0%, pay off early within the first year, get 3% Apple Cash and be able to get the next model in a year.

Your thoughts @nateatlarge ??

I was quoted the same thing, then I called 611 because that sounds way wrong since last year was half of that. 611 told me they do not have pricing yet for JOD. But if by chance that is the pricing it would be for normal JOD and NOT super well qualified. I was told just to keep checking back. But it’s likely it will be close to last year since Pro is same price. Last year Pro was $117.99 down for super well qualified. And non-Pro will likely be $0-$50 down if I had to guess. If by chance those high down payments are true, they just ruined and killed off JOD...
